Anyways let’s go on to a support balance Patch
Ana
Minium sleep duration decreased to 1 second
Anti Nade
Area of effect reduced to 3 meters
(Ana’s kit is relatively balanced but could feel a little over thr top at times. These changes are meant to keep Ana’s potential value relatively the same while reducing her average value)
Baptiste
Immortality Field changed to a 30% Damage Resistance Field
Cooldown decreased to 18 seconds
HP increased to 225
(Immortality Field alot of time was basically a 2nd ultimate. We are removing pure immortality and making it solely damage resistance. These changes make Baptiste still good defensively but also more proactive)
Brigitte
Inspire Radius reduced to 15 meters
Inspire no longer stacks with repair packs
Barrier Shield now touches Brigitte’s feet and covers her overall better
Barrier deploys slighty faster
Rally only gives 20 armour per second
Ultimate Cost reduced by 10%
(Brigitte was too proficient in alot of cases over Lucio and Mercy in particular while denying a whole bunch of heroes any value. We are making Brig’s peel slightly worst but making sure it’s still the strongest in her role. We are also making Rally online more often in exchange for making it slighty weaker. We also gave her shield QOL charges.)
Lucio
Ultimate Cost reduced by 15%
(Sound Barrier took slighty too longer to charge so we are reducing the cost by a little bit)
Mercy
Valkyrie
Duration reduced to 10 seconds
HPS on chain beams reduced to 40HPS
HPS on main beams increased to 75HPS
Damage boost on main beams increased to 40%
Beam range reduced to 20 meters
(Valkyrie often felt unimpactful while making Mercy require zero skill. These changes increase Valkyrie’s overall power when used to it’s fullest potential but far weaker if you aren’t good with it.)
Moira
Biotic Orb Slowed speed when it has a target has been reduced from 27.5% of normal, to 15% of normal
( This change allows Moira to get more power out of both of her Orbs, rather than them often using just a portion of their total potential before flying away from their targets.)
Zenyatta (Changes depends on how tank balance feels and the Bap/Brigitte changes)
Damage enemy takes reduced to 20%
(Discord Orb often felt too oppressive of tanks due to how much more damage they take from you and your whole team. These changes reign in discord in a little bit)
So I want the strongest role nerfed? 2 got buffed and the other got net buffed.
Ana got minor changes.
Zen’s need depends on performance after the Bap and Brig change.
how is support the strongest role when half of them are trash? moira is major trash, brig is only good in higher elos (look at her stats), mercy has been turned into a dps pocket that only dmg boosts, I barely see zen anymore these days… lucio, ana, and bap are the only ones in a solid position all around and people barely pick ana because bap outshines her majorly.
Like just because bap is stupidly over tuned doesn’t mean support is the strongest role
also how does inspire not stacking with repair pack work? like if you’re being healed by inspire and get hit with RP does inspire just stop healing while rp is healing or does rp just not work? still stacks with other healing I’m guessing?
I do like the shield changes tho. For a small 250 health shield it shouldn’t be as slow to open and useless at blocking things shes not looking directly at as it is currently
Hardly a nerf compared to other ones on the list. Ana will be the top way ahead of every other support if this patch goes through. Especially considering there are only 3 main-healeres in the support line-up.
Don’t really care what happens to Immortality Field because it’s one of the most boring ability that bap has to use. But the trade off seems absurdly worse off. Like it or not, bap is used in high elo mostly because of his Immortality Field to protect tanks particularly in brawl comps. He will definitely lose pick rate in the highest elo if this changes go through.
The good news is that moira will gladly take his place as she was being outshined by bap due to her lacking in any useful utility. Should this change go through? I don’t know, that’s up to the devs. But I think they might as well remove lamp if it’s going to turn into a 30% dmg reduction ability with 18 sec cool down. Because it seems kinda pointless tbh.
Either way, I’m glad that you’re only touching his IF and nothing else. Which is way more reasonable than other people on this forum who are determined to nerf every single thing about bap.
The shield changes are good. But overall, this seems like a net-nerf than a buff to me. 10% reduced ultimate cost for bunch of other nerfs doesn’t seem like a favorable trade.
Maybe this is good change, but I’m not the devs so I can’t say for certain. But it seems fair to lucio.

I’m not a fan of devs making small changes to moira’s existing lame ability like this. I think moira overall needs a new ability that’s more valuable to her team imo.
Just a discord nerf and no compensation buffs? Sounds like a bad deal to me. I get that discord orb is a very stale ability. And I’m not in favor of stale, yet very powerful abilities like discord either. But I’d rather see him given a rework than a straight up nerf. Like a discord orb that he has to aim at the enemy like ana’s nade and only last for a certain duration.
Anyways, AFAIK I don’t think zen is considered “problematic” in OW1. In 5v5, discord orb will obviously need to be toned down because of only one tank in the team. Ana’s sleep dart has already been nerfed in OW2 from the looks of it and it only makes sense that zenyatta’s discord orb will follow suit. They also need to nerf Sombra’s OP damage boost from hack though against tanks.
Never really liked the idea of a damage reduction field replacing immortality field. It does not give the ability any sense of playmaking and actively lowers his skill ceiling by making it not really require timing. It devolves into throw this item in the middle of a fight to get value. I would rather see immortality field moved into an ult than see it become such a boring ability.
