There are ways to do it and this is not one of them! I dont really care about support creator programs if they are done correctly. Making it a mandatory donation to some rando streamers if you want a skin is straight dumb though. What is funny is majority of the people on that list do not even play Overwatch. Why is xqc on there??? He makes 
tonnes of money already, doesnt even play the game and has actively been one of the worst public figures for the community ever. We shouldn’t be asking people to support him. YOU literally banned him from YOUR esports league. And yet you still want to get into bed with him
Look at fortnite, they also have a support a creator program. Guess what? It is entirely optional, you can still get any skin regardless of if you use it or not. Instead they give commission on every purchase in game to whichever creator you wish to support. They do not force people to donate to streamers for the privilege of getting a skin. You just buy things in the game and creators get a cut
Pretty sure content creators would rather have a consistent level of support from in game purchases than a 1 off (hopefully) skin.
The way this is being done is just scummy marketing tactics to try and get people to donate ‘poor’ content creators who have ‘suffered’ over the last few years. Boohoo. haven’t we all. Also this is just being done to try and inflate the public appearance of this game. Overwatch isn’t in the public eye anymore. Maybe focus on making your game good and your company less scummy and you may earn some goodwill back.
This sets a bad precedent. We do not want skins being locked behind twitch donations every couple months. Hell to the no. Stop making dumb decisions and killing any good will you have left in this community. Every bad decision it just becomes harder and harder to defend. Like can we seriously not go a week without you creating some controversy??? Is that at all possible??? Just make a good game, end of story. It’s like you want people to hate you and for the game to fail. Every time it feels like we go a few steps forward, stuff like this sends us 10 steps back.
So far as per usual the only content creator talking any sense is Blame the controller. Why can’t we support him and the content he provides? Is it because he isnt a shill like the rest of them and that its refreshing to hear someone tell it how it is for a change
