Right now, Rushing Torrent feels fast but flat — the jump part in particular is underwhelming and doesn’t capture the fantasy of flowing water. What if we leaned fully into the wave theme and made it dynamic?
Proposed Changes:
- Wave Rise: Holding jump while using Rushing Torrent makes the wave lift Wuyang progressively, up to 4 meters above ground level. Think of it as the crest of the wave carrying you upward.
- Wave Fall: Pressing crouch while above the ground makes the wave dip, letting you descend quickly with the tide.
- Fluid Height Control: You can adjust your height in real time, allowing for creative movement — vaulting over obstacles, avoiding attacks, or setting up for abilities.
- Same forward speed, but with more vertical play, so it feels like you’re actually riding and controlling a moving wave.
Why This Would Be Better:
- Makes the ability more fun and thematic — you’re not just dashing, you’re surfing a living wave.
- Adds skill expression — good players will use height control for better positioning, dodging, and creative map traversal.
- Opens cool interactions with the environment and enemy abilities.
Right now, the ability is fast, but this change could make it fluid, versatile, and satisfying — just like riding a real wave
