Been a player since 2016 and I would like to give a honest suggestion. Can Blizzard make (competitive) name signatures permanent?

No, because why would you put effort in to get a new one if you already have an old one?
That’s kind of the point of drives, to get people to play a lot more than they otherwise would at the end of the season.
Just for the record, I personally don’t care if they do make them permanent or not, just let me turn them all off if I want to.
Well, the point is, if they were permanent most of us would be motivated to collect them. Every season, a new signature with new effect so you could customize whenever you want red/blue/yellow etc. As a collector, I find it frustrating that they are deleted every season
OW2 doesn’t care about collectors as much as OW1 might’ve. Unless you spend lots of money on the game.
Frankly, I think the only reward people should get from comp is the bragging rights to instill integrity of the mode (you should play it because you want to, not for an incentive). That said, I don’t think their SR system had much integrity to begin with (or ther computation of MMR/SR is flawed).
