Suggestion for the next "Hacked" Quickplay: 6v6

That’s it. That’s the post.

You want to use Quickplay for data gathering? You want to open this door Blizzard? Drop the ego and cowardice and test 6v6 for a weekend.

Bring it on. Don’t even have to balance it. I’ll take 2 OP tanks and all the chaos that it brings.

Yes, 6v6 with JQ sounds really fun

Is that sarcasm? Because it DOES sound fun.

No sarcasm here. Give us 6v6.

Tank balance will be a little off but the general experience will still be better.

If people hate it, us 6v6 people will shut up about it.

I can only imagine the fun factor of having Rein Zarya back, but I don’t think that lineup will be the move. Ram JQ would probably be fun, with the ult combo.

Personally think you could solve double shield by having “shield” heroes share a shield charge battery.

By that I mean that if Rein’s shield gets shot Sigma also takes shield damage. And they recharge together.

No I was asking Geki if that was sarcasm about JQ.

This actually sounds like a good idea, if they’re a certain distance from each other it wears off. I like it.

Or you can only have one shield tank per team. That was always the most offered suggestion for double shield back in the day.

You’re putting yourself in a bad position saying to do it without any balancing. Mauga+Orisa+Bastion would be unplayable

Technically sharing a shield battery allows two shield tanks while making it single shield. Best of both worlds.

If you make shield damage proportional based on the shield too, technically it would completely screw Rein to play with another shield hero. If Sigma’s 700hp barrier is shot for 50hp damage to the barrier then Rein loses double 100hp to his 1400hp barrier charge. You normalise it as percentage of shield damage.

Maybe some shield tank players will figure out a way to make this work despite the handicap. But it would be interesting. And that would be genuinely interesting teamwork being promoted for the playstyle.

I would play.

Whatever the game is nowadays. Do not want to play.

There will be unbalanced aspects of it but we’ll never ever get it if we demand the whole thing be rebalanced immediately.

If it mostly works out, balance issues can be solved iteratively.

I’d try it, but on the surface I don’t like the idea of my shield going bye bye because I have a bot on the other tank with no shield management. I’d still try to adapt to it though.

I don’t even care, let’s get wild.

Not sarcasm, genuinely think she’d be fun in 6v6!

I think you’d have to let barriers block Orisa ult again, but Orisa, Mauga and Bastion all share weaknesses to Dva and Sigma. I think you’d be surprised by what ends up being meta.

Even if it was a complete mess, I’d at least like to try it.

Ramattra / Doom using their arm block while standing in front of Mauga.

Not happening. 5v5 is better and here to stay. Live with it.
