I understand that the current way of ranking up is by winning or losing, but in the first three ranks, especially Bronze and Silver, it’s total chaos, a hell. In these ranks, you can be a good player, but you can get stuck in the basic ranks because 80% of your losses are due to bad players sabotaging your games or the performance of your teammates, which can even be harmful to the game. I have seen good players in low ranks who lose despite the performance they can generate (sorry, but you can’t win 1v5, 2v5, 3v5, and even 4v5) because the tank thinks they’re immortal and making a 1v5 only to die quickly, the DPS never kills and just dedicates themselves to dying, or the support doesn’t heal. Ranks up from Bronze 5 to Gold 1 can be more by luck than by skill, although this counts a lot. Being paired with good players and not saboteurs or players with poor performance, as victims of the current system, can be a matter of luck.
Currently, in the first three ranks, toxicity can be worse than in the other ranks, as being a good player who constantly loses due to the points mentioned above only makes you upset and become toxic. In the end, their performance will start to decline and they will insult their teammates who have poor performance in the game.
Many good players in low ranks are lost because they are victims of the current classification system, as measuring your ability only by winning or losing really means nothing. I believe that in the Bronze, Silver, and Gold ranks, classifying by performance can be a great positive improvement for these ranks, as you are measured by performance and not by two variables win or lose. And once you get to Platinum, it’s because you deserved it. What I suggest will only apply to the first three ranks, because once you move from Gold 1 to Platinum 5 and beyond, you can use their current classification system.
This post does not consider veteran players who have advanced accounts or who mostly play in a party. I focus on players who play solo and have only one account.
