So, when D.Va was last nerfed, I made a thread with my personal idea for a rework. Well, more of a revert.
Today, D.Va is in dire need of…a lot of things. So I figured I’d update this and post it.
Changes compared to my previous one are in bold.
Base stats (Mech form)
- Health decreased from 400 to 100
- Armor increased from 200 to 400
- Critical hitbox removed
Example of effects on beam heroes: Zarya, at maximum charge, needs 4.03s to demech D.Va. With these changes, this goes slightly down to 3.95s.
Example of effects with Crit resistance on hitscan heroes (10% crits, 100% accuracy, no falloff): Soldier needs ~31 bullets to demech D.Va. With these changes, he needs ~30.
Reaper needs ~6 shots to demech D.Va. With these changes he needs ~7.
Crit resistance is here to match the skill required to hit the critbox.
Micro Missiles
- Ability removed
Yep, still gone.
Fusion Cannons
- Pellet count increased from 11 to 12
- Movement speed penalty reduced from 40% to 30%
Mitigating the Missiles removal in her cannons. This put her DPS at her release level (160).
Boosters
- Cooldown increased from 4 to 5 seconds
- Damage increased from 10 to 25
- Can no longer be knocked back while Boosters are active
Just revert those to how they used to be.
Defense Matrix
- Range increased from 10 to 15 meters
- Max duration increased from 2 to 3 seconds
- Delay before recharge starts increased from 0.75s to 1s
- Cooldown reduced from 1.5 to 1 second
- Refresh rate decreased from 13.3% per second to 11.1% per second
3s feels like the sweetspot for a burst damage blocker, as some of the most bursty ultimates are that long (Deathblossom, Barrage), and alot of others are 6s long. Combined with the cooldown, it makes it excel at peeling.
The refresh rate change makes DM take 9s (plus the 1s after it’s dropped) to recharge.
