Suggestion: Additional report type for Poor Matchmaking

Not an original idea but I also do play Mobile Legends which is popular in Southeast Asia and this exists there.

It is common for people feel frustrated at their teammates in QP/Ranked and sometimes they (erroneously) take it out on their teammates by reporting them for throwing / afk but it could be new or long returning players who are getting back into the game.

I’m not sure how Blizzard currently processes reports and if they are automated, but I think with this new report type [Low Skill Level/Poor Matchmaking] it could help with:

  1. Filtering reports from actual throwers / bots which I’ve encountered and people who are just poorly matched into lobbies (not of their own volition of course, it just happens)
  2. Could be good data on matchmaking.

Maybe they already looked into it, but I think refinement of their report system would really help with having reports be more focused while having an intangible side effect of just giving players ‘release’ via reporting and getting it ‘over and done with’.

Why should players get reported for a system issue?

It’s the system that put them in your game, not the player themselves. It’s not their fault; they should not be reported for it. The report system is there to report players when they break the rules of the game. Not being skilled enough for your liking is not breaking any rules.

Agreed! I play mostly QP because I’m a solo player and I don’t trust the match making system for comp. Of my last 90 games, I’ve lost 61. And of those 90 games, not one has been an evenly matched or close game. It’s always roll or be rolled.

And yep, there are always arguments mid or end game about whose fault it is “tank diff” or whatever, when it’s Blizzard and their bad match making.
