I just have something in mind, wouldn’t it be great if the Heroes have more abilities to choose and use before gameplay (set it up in the main menu)
for example, Orisa: player are able to choose between :-
ability right click mouse: 1. Augmented Fusion Driver or 2.??? ( new ability? maybe lazer?)
ability button E : 1. Protective barier or 2. Javelin Spin
ability Left Click Mouse: 1. Halt! (orb that pull enemy) or 2. Energy Javelin
ability Shift: 1. Fortify or 2.??? (mybe if you have other ideas for new ability)
ULT ability Q: 1. supercharger or 2. Terra surge
so player are able to choose the ability / mixed it up before game whichever they think its good for his gameplay/ hero. the ability might be more than 2 to choose… more is better. better is fun.
Paladins isn’t the only game that does that.
OW doesn’t need to be another.
And we can change heroes here, so that would slow people down when they switch. Until they learn the build meta. Then it’s boring and why is it even there?
Keep that in your lane, don’t try and push it to ours.
this feels more like it’s something that’s actually going to be in pve
and it should stay there
having to guess if like for example
a reaper has shadow step or some kinda weird like double shotgun fire ability would be spooky
(Re)adding abilities for heroes on top of their current ones will make Overwatch more difficult to balance than it already is.
Unless proper visualization is added, it’s going to be incredibly difficult to know which abilities a Hero has. One core tenant of OW’s design is that you know exactly which tools a hero has available to them just by looking. Letting Heroes swap abilities in and out breaks this tenant.
