While playing the game and playing games without issues, sometimes while entering a new quickplay or competitive game, all of a sudden my latency hits 1200-1300ms and cannot enter the game. It is not because of my internet because in the meantime I can talk to my friends in voice chat and enter websites without an issue. While I wait for this connection problem to be fixed by itself (because if I quit I will get suspension anyways), I got removed due to remaining AFK and get a suspension from playing new games. I am afraid to get a permanent ban if this issue continues. I hope you can aid me.
Failing to connect to a match counts as leaving. I don’t know where you’re located, but some regions have two servers where your connection may not be as optimal to one as the other.

This is a very common misconception. Your connections to those other services are unrelated to your connection to game servers.

I am located in Turkey and I have 1000 Mbps internet connection also using wired connection. I will share a screen recording if this problem occurs again.
Do you play on Europe servers or Middle East servers?
I play on Europe servers.
Ok, so any updates about EU servers are not going to be posted in this forum, since this one is for the Americas and Oceania regions. Additionally, you should report issues you’re experiencing in your region’s forum (EU).
Due to your location, it seems both of the EU servers are pretty far from you, so there’s a lot that can happen on that route to cause a connection problem.
Then I will write a topic there as well. I closed all of my apps running background and still the problem continues.

I’m getting this too, I’ve had it happen once where queued for rank, joined game and stuck on the loading screen and my ping is bouncing up and down, not as high as yours though. So I though everyone was experiencing this, nope, it was just me and all of a sudden I’m getting a “penalty if you don’t move” so it recognises that I am in the game but it is not loading the game.
So I got penalised for that.
After my 15 minute penalty. I tried again and it happened again BUT this time I was just mashing buttons and I eventually got into the game just as the leaver penalty started ticking down.
This happened 2 more times.
And this has only started since this season 15 patch update.
Playing in OCE.
So I’ll vouch for you for the OCE group.
Urgh… penalised again for this crap.
And it only started in this new update.
Thanks Blizzard for breaking the game, again.
Guess I’ll wait out the ban and play Marvel Rivals and try again.
Hopefully this doesn’t ruin everyone else’s game because of this crap.

I have the exact same issue and I live in Turkey as well. This is a pretty big problem as it completely locks players out of the game and then penalizes them. I’ve spent money on this game and yet I can’t access it. Would love support to help us out beyond telling us to go post in the forums.
Perhaps you and the OP can team up on the EU forum and provide more details there, like which ISP and general location you’re trying to connect from.
The staff for NA & OCE regions are separate from the EU region.
This is definitely a patch issue. This never happened until the season 15 went live.
Highly doubt that since there are so few reports on the global scale.
OCE players are encountering a completely different problem than what’s being discussed here. They are placed on the Singapore server instead of Australia one. OP is connecting from Turkey to EU servers and having ping problems, but that’s their regular server pool.

Did you see how many disconnects there are going on in the technical page? yup, it looks like everyone is getting something weird going on since the season 15 patch update.
This is tech support, and the amount is very few compared to when an actual server issue is happening.
I am having extreme lag at the start of some games. This extreme lag has only happened in the last few days. I am in the USA.
I am in New York and I’m having this same exact issue, since the last patch with the perks never had it before.
I am having the same issues as everyone else in this thread and it just started after the last patch as well. I am in Texas
In my experience, I don’t believe I have experienced the lag at the start of a game during the first few games I play. It usually takes a few games, and gets progressively worse
