Stuck on loading screen

Game stuck on loading screen every other match or so, sometimes the game still loads but it’s on 1000+ ping which doesn’t get better over time and teammates just see me as afk. Other people have had the same or similar issues for a literal DECADE at this point but none of them have the same ping problems. I’ve tried every solution, clearing DNS etc. yet nothing seems to fix it and the issue keeps randomly happening. And no, I’m not reinstalling a 72 GB game just because the loading screen doesn’t work half of the time, not everybody has enough data in their plan for that kind of fix. I could have transferred it to Steam and played from there, but you can’t transfer files unfortunately and I’d have to reinstall it, it’s borderline planned obsolescence.

Assuming the dev team are competent, surely this is a complex, hard to narrow down issue. Thus I’m not going to complain about it not being fixed after 10 years. The issue I take is, who in their right mind thought of introducing punishments for leaving quickplay? If you cared even an ounce about your product, then surely you’d design it with graceful decline in mind, with failsafes, so that even a person who encounters bugs nine out of ten games could still play it. That was the case, until QP started giving out queue bans for people who leave a lot. What prompted that decision, when you have never been able to guarantee the stability of the player experience in the first place? I’m not the only one who has recurring issues with the game, so what makes it a good idea to essentially ban all players with recurring issues? Sure, one-time leavers may get a mere slap on the wrist, but the issue is that queuing like other players becomes impossible.

I don’t care if the issue gets fixed at this point. Take this as a critique/rant about the punishment system. Goodbye!

Been having this issue since Shion’s patch.
Before it’d happen once in a while that I’d get “Failed to load server”, even though I have moved in the meantime, changed my pc and all, so it’s definitely not on my end. This problem has existed for years at this point, so I kinda just am used to it. Happened maybe once every evening if I was playing a lot, but that’s it.

But since Shion’s patch it’s terrible.
I either fail to load server or I literally get a loading screen, hear the game, but can’t even select a character, or I load in very slowly, almost too late, have 500 ping, and I have to restart and then it fixes it. Whenever this happens also it looks like my team has 4 people instead of 5 for some reason.
It’s so confusing, but it’s definitely not on my end.

I’ve stopped playing Comp because I might get a seasonal ban if I keep disconnecting like that or getting ping spikes like the 500+ ping ones.

Again, issue is NOT on my end, everything works perfectly fine, I even monitored my connection when it happens and there’s nothing strange on my internet, rather an issue with Overwatch itself connecting to servers.
I’ve also tried a vpn but it hasn’t made a difference.

when happen again, check if in Task manager, overwatch is consuming about your entire system RAM, because these high pings, freezes and crashes seems they sent an patch with absurd memory leak
