So when I try and load into a game I get stuck onto the “ENTERING map name” screen and can’t do anything. I sometimes get booted for inactivity because I am apparently in the game but can’t see anything but the loading screen and its corresponding music. If I do manage to get in then I am invisible along with all my teammates and enemies, this causes a lot of problems in qp and especially in comp. I want to know if there is any fix to this bug and what to do since I can’t enjoy playing qp and especially comp.
Lower your quality settings if you can. This is a PC issue most definitely, and the problem is the loading time you’re having. Your PC just can’t handle the loading time.
Or heck, might be the internet, but I doubt that’s the issue, whenever I had it - it was background apps being open and slowing my computer down.
Saying you have competitive unlocked in itself must be showing that you didn’t have this issue before and could’ve played normally, correct?
Try loading in training mode before playing the actual game, that’ll maybe ease your computer into loading the data faster.
Try shutting off Nvidia Shadowplay and recording tools of the likes, that’s what fixed it for me
Try shutting down any and all unnecessary background processes.
Check your video settings and see if render scale is at a 100% and hasn’t been automatically set to something above it (Also check other settings and lower if possible until results show)
I mean I’ve been playing the game for a little over a year now and have run into some issues but never something like this. I noticed it happen around a week ago and it just happens randomly. I am not sure if its internet caused or what.
Options!
1st: Your upload/download speed is too slow for the server to pinpoint your/Teamates location.
2nd: your Pc requirements for connection is overheated with tasks and (Overwatch) is not prioritied higher than some other tasks.
3rd Your HDD/SSD is at its last breath and the game has a hard time loading. (Try cleaning it up a little. (remove some files here and there)

- so if overwatch is the only program running then it should work better?
- what is hdd and sdd?
