Stuck in a login loop

I started playing the game yesterday and played for a few hours. After the new update, everything was still running fine. Then I stopped the game, and an hour later, I wanted to play again, but since then, I’ve been stuck in a login loop.

It says ‘Connecting to game,’ and after a few seconds, it asks me to enter my email or phone number and password. Then it starts connecting again, but I end up back at the login screen over and over.

What can I do to fix this? How can I get the game running again? I just want to play…

I also have this issue and 2 others. after the big update, there was a mini update. It was after that one that i became stuck in this loop. Version 2.15.0.0-135590 is whats on top.
I play through steam
I verified files
Uninstalled and reinstalled
This happened to me before i did the lootbox quest via discord.
Other people see notifications that i have logged on and off while its doing this.

Same thing happened to me since the update, I updated the game it opened and I went to Range for the perks. After that when I opened the game after an hour its been stuck on login loop. I contacted support multiple times and in the end they told me to ask here.
Things I tried:
Restarting pc
-Clearing Cache
-Reset my password
-Switched Network
-Optimising Internet
-Scan And Repair
-I even did a fresh Windows Install
-Change Phone Number on the Account
-Uninstall and Installing the game
-Updating graphics driver
-IP release, renew and flush dns

  • I also created another new account and it works fine, which suggests the problem is not my pc or internet

my ticket states they are aware of the issue even though it has not been publicly acknowledged. They also gave me steps to resolve the issue which were just like the person above posted and we all know this is not going to resolve the issue.

TLDR: They said just sit tight until they figure it out.

I also opened a ticket, the first one said I should just look in the Overwatch forum :smiley:
The other one send me the list what I could do.
“You could also follow these steps:
• Make sure you have the live server selected in the Battle.net app before logging into the game.
• Use the repair function in the Battle.net app to fix any corrupted game files. You can find this option by clicking on the Overwatch 2 icon and selecting “Scan and Repair.”
• If the issue persists, consider uninstalling and then reinstalling the Battle.net Desktop App. This can help resolve any underlying issues with the app itself.
• Ensure you have a stable internet connection. If possible, use a wired connection instead of Wi-Fi, and try restarting your router.
• If none of the above steps work, you might want to perform a password reset to ensure your login credentials are correct.”

Still not running and than I got the notification “Your account got locked because of suspicious login attempts”, I even told them it was me trying to login because of the loop… I don’t know, it is frustrating

Same here, got stuck in the loop after the last update. My other account works fine so it has nothing to do with my computer.

I have the same issue as well, have been trying to login so many times until I searched about it - it seems everyone is having the same issue and I’m surprised with blizzard’s response…been playing blizzard games like WoW for 12 years besides Overwatch and almost every time there’s an issue about anything they would follow up and look into solving it for me.

I’m really disappointed how blizzard is declining recently…

My roommate also has been able to log in fine. I know it’s not hardware because I logged in, decided to play on my couch with him so I tried to log into my steam deck and then got hit with the loop.

I just tried a lot of times to type in everything and then it just showed up :sweat_smile: :see_no_evil:

don’t even know when it will be fixed. I see posts more than 2yrs ago with the same problem. Its been more than 24 hours for this problem on my account.

me too man, Never even opened 1 lootbox. I didn’t even get to play one game with the new perks. So annoying
