as someone with photosensitivity even just playing a match against soldier and others like Mauga with their strobing bullets flying all over the screen is enough to make me feel sick and now every other character added is getting similar effects game is slowly becoming unplayable and it kind of sucks that searching for reduced flashing options online just don’t exist right now id love to see something like this put into the options its truly unnecessary making things this flashy, i know i could just not play the game but i dont want to stop playing a fun game and if that ends up being the case then so be it but… yeah

yeah i tried this takes a minor edge off but it doesnt solve the solution unfortunately
There’s 3 ways I solved this:
- Special glasses
- Monitor settings
- Game settings
If that doesn’t work, you should see a Doctor.
You mention these heroes and NOT WINSTON??? Like THE ULTIMATE SEIZURE INDUCER??? Especially in OW1, my god. XD
I dunno exactly your feelings, since I am me, and you are you, but when it’s getting to be too much, turn down your monitor’s brightness. Even if it’s a bit dim. It makes some of that stuff way more tolerable. As if I’m saying something not obvious.
Good luck to you though. I just don’t see the devs doing much work on altering a bunch of animations and effects based on a photosensitivity option since it “mIgHt PrOvIdE aN uNfAiR AdVaNtAgE” or some nonsense.
After the last update even I noticed that something is wrong with flashes (from gun fire) on screen. I don’t suffer of epilepsy or whatever BUT there are some really disturbing flashes while people use Mauga and his E ability. I didn’t understand if it’s only while his E abilty is active or not but it looks like it might affect also other characters while they stand near him (not sure about this though).
Yeah, its pretty bad. Would it kill them to add some sliders and options? Like turn off muzzle flash and having ‘simple’ versions of ability effects?
But I guess end user experience comes second to selling skins.

all these suggestions, ah bro it is straight visual aids, go watch or play mauga vs mauga lol it is horrible. his shooting animation is trash too
If you have an Nvidia graphics card, with the GeForce Experience overlay turned on.
Press Alt+F3, and then edit the video-overlay settings.
By the way there’s clearly a problem with Mauga’s visual effects, I was playing as Widowmaker and I couldn’t aim as my screen was flashing cause of Mauga next to me
