Are the devs just so out of touch with what so many of this character’s sprays and voice lines reference?
Constructive feedback is one thing but doesn’t this seem pretty brain dead?
The character in Overwatch that references Street Fighter (and SNK titles) a TON not to mention highlight intros - that gets zero skins in a Street Fighter collaboration… Now sure, I suppose some could argue that the characters he references might not be strictly in Street Fighter 6 and we know from the past that Capcom can get strict on not referencing earlier titles when they are trying to market their current crop. Is that what it is?

I think it’s probably just that he isn’t well-liked by the community overall, and they want to release skins for heroes who are more popular/will sell more skins for.

When the OPM skin got released we basically saw that saitama skin in every game. An Akuma skin or similar would’ve sold like hot cakes for Doomfist.

Compared to Kiriko/Juno/Mercy other popular heroes? Doomfist population is rather small.
There is also no Sym as Chun Li despite having the same body type.
Huge L on the collab design team here. Its similar to what happened to D.Va for the Gundam Wing collab: she has multiple skins that reference Gundam and Japanese Mechas but got no skin for the collab as her MEKA isnt Humanoid-shaped. She got nothing, just like Doomfist got no skin even he is the melee hero. I just dont get it…

He is actually one of the most popular tanks, he is the most one tricked tank in GM(before bans, not sure how it is now). GM players do tend to buy skins for their characters…Not really buying this excuse.

If that is out of the entire playerbase, how is that confirmed? Because I’m seeing more Rein/Zarya than anything before bans.

If there can be Sombra OTPs in GM, I imagine Doomfist can exist as a OTP.
I never said they don’t buy skins for their characters. I’m not sure how you reached that conclusion based on what I wrote in the thread.
I’m saying that compared to other heroes, he isn’t as popular and that I imagine that may be a reason we do not see many skins for him.
I don’t think Doomfist is more popular than Juno, Mercy, Kiriko, etc. If they are making a collaboration skin, they typically sell it for a higher price. They want to sell as many of them as possible because that means more profit for both parties, which they’d accomplish by giving it to those heroes.
Sure - But no one is saying he shouldve been the only Street Fighter skin - Just that he shouldve gotten a Street Fighter skin.
That said - Doomfist is a pretty darn popular tank.

That goes for a lot of heroes. I imagine it might also come down to the characters that the design team likes making skins for.
Moira could have been A.K.I. Doomfist could have been Akuma. Zarya or Junker Queen could have been Marisa, etc.
I think tanks usually get the short end of the stick when it comes to skins for collabs. In this case I wonder if it’s because Doomfist is a popular tank in an unpopular role.
Im more disappointed by the inauthentic portrayal of street fighter costumes. A leotard that should be completely normal, and would make tracer look sexy is deemed offensive by this company. How about giving Mauga some shirt, his breasts are all over the screen, i find it oversexualised.
truthfully a really good doom skin is most likely the only time id ever consider spending money on the game

they have the kiriko and juno boxes checked already, so why is winston getting a skin in this collab and not doomfist?
legitimately makes zero sense to me, even if you consider doom an unpopular hero

I’d imagine so. A Dudley skin, plus a flower-throwing taunt emote, would be awesome for Doom, but Dudley’s not in SF6 yet… more’s the pity.

I actually would have understood it if they gave it to Mei, who also could have worked.
However they chose Juno again.
