have sombra average overall and at best B tier?
what do you guys think about that? personally she is one of my best heroes and i think only ashe is better for me BUT i rather play sombra on every map then ashe. sometimes i get focused on her and thats what i think makes sombra better for me
there are a lot of novice sombras out there so i can see maybe why B tier

Sombra typically isnât as good in higher ranks (due to high team coordination), so it makes sense in that regard.
Yeah Sombra is like ol school buffed Reaper. She can terrorize lower ranks but after a certain threshold of game sense and aim tracking she can be handled.
But Iâd say if they want to keep her that lethal then the trade off would have to be it taking longer for her to go invis.
Or virus having longer CD or something.
Or you know⌠Just go back to 6v6 instead of all these insane hero changes that donât work in 5v5
People confuse frustrating to play against with being strong.
Streamers play at a very high level on very coordinated teams, so itâs no surprise they donât have trouble dealing with Sombra.
But for the average Joe who just wants to play QP and enjoy the game casually, sheâs a nightmare. Nobody peels in QP, nobody turns around to help, players are always staggering and scattered around the map. Itâs the perfect hunting ground for Sombra.
Time for a real rework if you ask me. âBut actually her win rate isâŚâ, yeah we know, we know. One more reason to rework her from the ground up.
It really depends on how you player her. Not everyone that picks Sombra is a menace. But most are annoying enough to the point where you wanna pull your hair out.
Even if you canât confirm kills with the character, well timed hacks are an extreme nuisance. That coupled with perma invis, and youâre just in a constant state of paranoia.
I really dislike that character, but I didnât realize it until they gave her virus for whatever jacked up reason.
Yeah this, on your team itâs like playing a man down most of the time on the enemy team itâs like only playing against sombra and itâs so frustrating, Iâm a support main btw.
The GM and champ ranks are totally different. Watch SombraWizardâs stream. He can be tilted by Doomfist. I saw the stream at few days ago. I surprised.
Streamers have very GM-centric views and play the game more as a team-game playing actual comps with better communication. They can get their team to turn around and chase the Sombra and peel/Kiri Suzu/Lamp and are also usually playing the gigabuffed Dive tanks who can chase and peel anything.
The reality is that 50% of the players who even play ranked are actually in either Gold or Platinum playing horrible comps. And a lot of people just play QP where communication is non-existent. For those people e.g. the majority of the playerbase Sombra is an absolute demon who can isolate players very effectively knowing they wonât get punished at all
She isnât that great in higher tiers but these streamers forget that they are just a small part of the playerbase
Most people donât play in the highest tiers and for them Sombra is a absolute problemâŚ
I played Sombra into Doom, he just shrugs off the hack like itâs nothing. Sombra is just a nuisance to Doom while Doom can easily give chase and kill Sombra.
I dont care what Streamers say. They are out of touch and will say anything if it gets them viewers. People put WAY too much importance on their opinions. Most of them are morons.
youâre playing her wrong if youâre going after the tank. The days of her hacking and disabling tanks is over. Sheâs a stealth assassin now. Kill the supports, its incredibly easy.
Just circle around behind their team, kill their backline. Just hack-virus-burst and youâll easily, and i mean very easily kill any squishy. rinse repeat. Then next big team fight open with an emp and watch your team mop up with a team kill.

Sombra is a game sense and teamwork problem. Both of which are lacking in lower ranks and in abundance in higher ranks. So, in lower ranks, you get Sombras who get away with murder because nobody is paying attention - so she is just an easier Tracer. But as soon as teams and players start having some game sense, she becomes a very subpar hero until you get premades at the highest ranks (but even then - there are always better choices for DPS if you have insane teamwork).
The one thing that is clear is that she universally disliked as a teammate (because she is throwing in so many ranks), and as an opponent because nobody likes having their abilities randomly disabled or having to weirdly hug terrain to avoid a stealth attack.
and sup players are actually good, they rarely die 1v1 with sombra, actually they never die 1v1 with sombra bcs sombra is not even close to how powerful they are.

Holds true for most of the player base. Unless you are playing at a level where everyone is good enough to get optimal value out of their heroes, tier list is not all that important. (Unless you turn around to suggest balance changes due to skill issues)
