Streamers and toxicity

How is that streamers like xQc or Tyler1 can insult people all day long in OW, on stream where everybody can see them, and still go unpunished? Tyler1 was even doing that during streams sponsored by Blizzard.

They’ve been calling other people the R word, telling them to shut up, screaming at everyone, etc., meanwhile the average player can get suspended for way less than that, how does it make sense?

Either you suspend them like they should or you apply the same standards to everyone else, but then again Blizzard is such a bad company that they won’t do either.

Because those streamers are more important than you.

Ummmm… life is generally unfair…

Why can my vice president at work flip flop on key policies but i must follow them as they change? Ummmm… welcome to real world with people.

So it excuses them for being toxic continuously on stream?

With all the pushes the devs are making to combat toxicity it isn’t that far fetched to want to see the same rules applied to streamers.

Of course it does, blizzard just wants those viewers. They both got dem viewers.

I’d wager Blizzard would do something if a topic like this was gaining a lot of traction on social media, that’s all companies seem to understand nowadays.

Blizzard can’t let Tyler1 play then act like they give half a dam about toxicity in their games. The moment they let him play and advertise their game through him is the moment they admit toxicity isnt a priority to them.

Toxic streamers infect games and make games infinitely more toxic than they were before they got popular.

He had a 10 years mute on his account at first, the moment it was removed a few days ago he started yelling at people…

Tyler1 is actually chat banned for like 3000 days, at least when I saw a clip of him playing on a compilation video.

Yeah Super is the last person youd want to represent this community and for a while Blizzard let him lol

Have you seen Samito or Metro? These guys yell at their teammates constantly it’s honestly sad to watch.

Is it possible? 3000 days?

So true. The people who watch these streamers see them getting away with it, for the most part, and then replicate the same attitude for the rest of us to have to deal with.

Further making the point that turning off chat/voice is the best move to make to not have to deal with any of them.

At least chipsa and unsaltedsalt mute themselves in-game for 99% of their crying, so only the people watching their streams are subjected to it.

Yeah, i know what kind of person he is, I’ve had to deal with him and his rabid fanbase in league.

The biggest issue with him being allowed to play and getting streamer rights is his influence on the community. I guarantee you wont go a game without seeing someone behave exactly like he does. This is the biggest issue.

Blizzard just flat put needs to remove the special privileges streamers get when they continously act toxic.

Super is pretty mild compared to people like Tyler1 or XQC.

Short answer: They bring in very large viewer numbers on Twitch, and Blizzard likes money more than they like people.

Blizzard is too dependent on them to even consider doing anything.

We already know blizz doesn’t care and treats streamers extra good when it comes to this, because bronze to gm challenges were rampant and never cracked down on. Something you can only do as a gm by buying a bronze account or throwing to bronze.
