Strange things, lvl 5 endorsements common?

So this is a weird occurence.

Been seeing a lot of endorsement lvl 5s lately.

It can’t be a coincedence here. Not in this game. Not where people are getting angry often and with the abusive reporting system in place. People even get reported for just doing cheesy strats or playing meta picks.

Hell…players advertise for me to get reported for qoute unqoute “smurfing” or “throwing” when playing WBall.

Half of my games theres always some toxic arguement going on that I try to avoid. So what’s the deal?

Don’t think so? I’m endorsement level 3 and have always seen a few level 4 or level 5 players.

Didn’t they say they adjusted it? Made it easier or something?

or was that upcoming?

I am relatively certain they implemented those changes because I kept my level 4 Reaper one trick endorsement level despite going on… A tiny loss streak. Just a small one.

In the past, that would have reset me to level 3 without a doubt. I also saw a level 5 for the first time in years. It cannot be a coincidence. :face_with_monocle:

They’ve definitely changed something. My endorsement level used to bounce between 3 and 4 in the past, seemingly affected by one game. Since last season it hit 5 and hasn’t shifted.

I can accept a couple. But I have seen literally like 2 dozen this season. And it just started like wow…wtf?

It’s really weird. And even if they made those changes there’s no way that many player’s climbed to lvl 5 so quickly.

Been seeing one almost every game now.

It’s so weird.

They are sleeper agents designed to make us believe that the people who play Overwatch have empathy. It’s pathetic that they believe we will fall for this PR stunt.

Yeah, I’ve been seeing a lot of 5s since the start of s7, and Blizz supposedly didn’t change it until s8.

Is that you Snake?! Snake? Snake!? SNAAAAAAKKKKKEEEE!!!

Its weird…and I feel like some of them don’t deserve it.

They recently buffed endorsement a lot in both of the last two patches.

What I can personally say is I have maintained a Level 4 endorsement level since it started from Overwatch 1 to present - this last
week I have been getting more endorsements than usual - I’ve been doing the usual carrying/performing at/near the top but people have actually been a bit more appreciative.

Sometimes even on wins people wouldn’t endorse but I’ve now been getting whether win or loss at least 3 endorsements on average, to the point where last night I got endorsement 5 for the first time ever.

But again, I saw the endorsements rolling in more consistently so if there were any system changes, they either didn’t change the values much or they fixed the decay for when you didn’t get any endorsements.

Yes they buffed endorsments by tuning down decay. It was in the patch notes

Wow and just when we thought endorsement couldn’t get any more meaningless.

Lvl 5 while rare signified how much one played to actually achieve that grind.

They were either a good play who was well behaved, or just a muted fool who seeks their own fun, no offense to those of you who mute everything.

Endorsement levels are the biggest waste of time and tell you nothing.

The vote cards from OW1 were better and more engaging in every way.

yeah they actually got around to adjusting the endorsement system to work for 5v5 in the last couple of patches. It was pretty much impossible to get endorsement level 5 for the past year or so

You offended me! Get muted you squeaky hamster…

In all seriousness, I respect level 5. It’s hard to get. One does not simply convince useless teammates to endorse you without exceptional behavior.

Since I endorse people every game, I tend to see lv5 rather frequently every copule of weeks I’d say. Blizzard has been making it easier to get up to lv5 considering how rare it used to be to ever get up to at all.

Let me guess, it was all Mercys
