The best advice a teammate can offer you mid match is silence. Because “stop throwing” isn’t an actionable request.

Well apparently you didn’t learn dieing is bad, and you shouldn’t do it, it was prolly a tank diff cause you gave 0 context, except someone said mean words to you…

So, dying once or twice is throwing? I have a new record then!

Also why I have chat and comms off. It’s horrendous.

Only thing I’m concerned about is if certain people are doing certain things that will get their account terminated, but I have chat off…how would I know? I don’t want to support that behavior. Been watching videos and it’s crazy how they get away with it.

I always ask. “Throwing what?”

Players need to speak up in what they are talking about. Full sentences would be nice and useful.

saying tank diff or diff in general isn’t toxic, it is mild banter. I don’t personally witness the harsher stuff to the point like attacking peoples race or gender, but if game play is criticized that isn’t toxic… It is a subjective view point… Like for the tank whining where are my heals… If tank was paying attention would of known healers died and are trying to get back if possible… But that doesn’t matter you would prolly say heal diff at the end of the match…

You have two things you can do

  1. Recognize if you’ve been playing well and don’t take these guys for anything other than salty and projecting

  2. Recognize that you have some things you need to work on, be it overall or in just that match, and do it.

I know it sucks when people call you out, and they’ll often do it without any emotional control, right or wrong, but that’s not your problem, it’s theirs. Keep on keeping on.

How is it their problem if you are the one being flamed?

You’re doing just fine, OP

We have a new feet person on the block!

I prefer sombra feet over sigmas feet :joy:.

Edit: deleted comment- replied to wrong person. My bad.

Edit again: can’t type

Because you have control over how you accept their emotional outburst. You actually stand to gain from it, if you stay grounded.

I know that’s way easier said than done, but you’re never going to stop people from being unhinged. Those people raging at him are the ones suffering. He can take what he’s getting and channel it accordingly.

It doesn’t always happen, it doesn’t always work, but it’s the best way to go about getting over it.

It is a competitive shooter, if you haven’t tilted once or twice at a minimum… I would prolly call you a liar too.

I’ve been one-tricking Lucio in Masters 1-GM4 on this account for like 2 years. Decided to play some tank placements. Got diffed by gold players. Haven’t played tank in comp in prob 2 years.

When I first read the topic in the menu list, I read it at “Stop Throwing Sigma’s Feet”. Which made me think they had added a new kick attack for Sigma. Gave me a chuckle.

I get called out all the time for throwing, etc when I don’t meet the expectations of the toxic players.

Do I care? Nope I do not. It is just prattle from ignorant toxic players that is nothing but white noise. Pay zero attention to it.

:axe:

Never said ive never been tilted. I have been told however that saying gg and its just a game is a throwers mindset. So again thanks for assuming stuff about me man <3
