I wish there was a way for the game to not ban you from playing just because you get disconnected from the game multiple times. It’s getting very annoying that the game punishes me for reasons out of my control. I don’t want to leave games, my internet just sometimes doesn’t work and I get kicked out of games and banned from playing and it really sucks because I just want to play the game. I want to know if anyone else has this opinion. I read the Technical Support Post on this issue and on why this system is in place and how it cannot help me but I just wanted to bring it up again because this system sucks and it just makes me not want to play the game at all. Or spend money to buy $40 dollar skins.
Get a better internet connection? You can’t complain when you know your internet is unstable and still proceed to play an online FPS.
My internet works good but sometimes it doesn’t. This format sucks though. This system isn’t good at preventing leavers because the game still plays the same and that’s mostly the reason why people leave to begin with.
well if they stop it then playerbase won’t completely evaporate. so let them continue. anti-riggers creating unbanable accounts, may also be an option.
Bliz cannot distinguish connections lost from alt+f4
If it happens several times in one day, that should be your clue to stop playing.
I don’t think people should be banned from playing QUICKPLAY because their connection is not consistent all the time. Its a bad system that has no reason to be in place
Take the money you were going to spend on skins and buy a better package or switch ISP’s, because the one you’ve got is not doing you any favours.
It’s mildly irritating when you’re gaming, but you don’t want your internet dropping out on you like that if you’re trying to do something actually important.
The time-out for QP was to catch rage-quitters and lobby-shoppers that were creating a revolving door of salty players. You may not fall into either category, but there is no way to tell the difference between someone alt+F4-ing and their service dropping out. All the server sees is you repeatedly ducking out of games and decides to put a stop to that.
Now, do I think that’s a good idea? Yes. Do I think the timeout should ramp up to the extent it does? Hell no! It’s absurd. It should time you out for the length of the game you just left so you can’t lobby shop BUT you don’t end up punishing people who had legitimate reasons to leave.
it used to not be this way till stupid aaron changed thigns for the worse like throwing has seen a severe uptick like honestly this team needs a new director, balance and dev teams
Yes. Overwatch does not understand that I left for the sake of my team. I doubt they want a tank lagging so much that they can’t walk.
But it’s ok because I will get a new computer and won’t lag at the start of games anymore.
What I hate is that when it backfills you it doesn’t flash the game’s icon like it does for fresh games. It only starts flashing when you are about to get kicked out for afk. Getting locked out because of that is not great.
Hot take, QP is QP. There shouldnt be banning
. Its a casual mode and if anyone else disagrees really needs to touch grass. The truth is, blizzard needs a 3rd tier to comp where its more competitive but not competitive enough as comp
The one thing Siege does better is Unranked. Comp rules, no ranks. Then they have QP, which is like OW QP
Even COD as well! Just think its funny with people really getting heated over other people leaving a QUICKPLAY match. Like, there is backfill ??? Who cares and its a casual mode
Well, I don’t like the revolving door of leavers that qp used to have. But at the same time, I wouldn’t be playing qp at all if unranked existed, since the only time I’m not in comp is to play with friends. If people wanna leave qp and there’s a separate casual queue where you can’t do that, I have no issue.
Im really sorry. But there is not really an importance to the Quickplay Mode when people leave it. Unlike Competitive which is ultra important.
If I was to put “leavers being a crime” and all that. And saying how much it is disruptive to each mode. I would rate it the following:
- Competitive.
- Arcade
- and last Quickplay.
Since
“getting a better connection” just isn’t that simple. I mean unless you can convince every city council in the United States to allow for fiber on all easements and right-of-ways. Its not going to happen any time soon like politicians claim.
They all want their greasy “under table money” paid to them and not every ISP is willing to fork over that fee.
Pulling Fiber is thousands of dollars per mile.
It is very frustration to shift YOUR ACTUAL RESPONSIBILITY to someone else. Nobody cares of your provider issues unless you care.
If only they could ban all the absolute garbage players that play QP.
