Stop putting me on west coast

I don’t know when this became a thing but it’s been happening with some consistency to apparently a lot of people. I’ll be playing and just randomly get a lobby where everyone is forced onto west coast and has 90+ ping

Blizz is not actually a small indie company. There’s no excuse for this

I have this issue constantly.
The servers are either down or dead.

I heard multiple people complain last night about being on 100 ping. Probably on wrong servers. In at least 2 games.

I regularly find the game puts me in servers on the other side of the US

Does blizzard not have a dedicated east coast server also? Most decent games will have a few VA/NY servers, but overwatch only ever connects me to Chicago or LA.

Oh it does. It just messes up every other game and I’m REALLY pissed about it

Unfortunately this has been an issue since ow1. It’s just been far more prominent lately, and once it happens it’s like I’m stuck on West Coast for the next 10 games…I just can’t avoid it. And with the leaver penalty it means I just log off for the night.

Nope, no east coast server. In my state the lowest ping I can get is 65ms. Decent enough but I definitely feel the ping diff moments when I play. Rubberbanded shots around corners happen too frequently.

OW is the only game I know of that doesn’t have an east coast server.

Chicago I get like maybe at best 60-70 which can feel pretty bad on certain heroes vs every other game where I can get 35-50.

More concerned about the player counts when I’m seeing the same people over and over… and not streamer mode names.

I remember back in the day I was like, 90 ping, NICE

Moving to 56k with a 120ms ping was basically cheats in Quake1 :laughing:
