Toxic it effects more than you care.

How? I’m fairly certain the developers don’t need a bunch of forum posts repeating the same things over and over to know that toxic people exist.

I’m just saying that toxicity, racism, harrassment are not to be joked about while being toxic to girl gamers or anyone.

Nobody was joking about toxicity, racism or harassment.

There is a report and block button for that

Glad to see the forum’s empathy levels are at a all time high, as usual.

Having empathy and believing posts like the ones mentioned in the OP are completely unnecessary is not mutually exclusive.

I know there is but I never said there wasn’t.

Many stuff posted on this forum are unnecesary, like posting the same video multiple times because some yt-ber talk about overwatch, and needs more views. Or post like “this hero dont belong in overwatch” etc.

Yup, they are. Specially the way op phrased it. “You aren’t the only person getting cyber bullied, get over it and get on with your day like the rest of us.” ? That’s literal absence of empathy, right here.
That’s like saying “who cares if you’re in emotional distress, shut up you’re inconveniencing me.” Sometimes, all people need is a place to vent, or a few friendly comments, and if that’s somewhat offensive to you, the least you can do is just ignore it.

I don’t mind those threads. If someone needs to post about a bad experience, it costs me nothing to try and help them out, whether it be offering advice or just being nice.

I’m certain the people posting those threads know about the ignore and report features. But it really doesn’t bother me if some kind words and or advice can make them feel better or help them better handle the situation in the future.

No, they aren’t mutually exclusive. I can feel sorry for someone who experienced racism or whatnot during their games, but I can also feel it be very unnecessary to make threads about it on the forums as if it’s their first time on the Internet. There are literal systems in place to avoid people like that. Use them and move on. Don’t give their words any merit because they are ultimately worthless.

Now, that isn’t to say the OP was showing empathy, that’s not my point. I was talking in general terms. And I understand that your post may have been more directed to the OP themself, but my point is not everybody who disagrees with you lacks empathy.

It’s not, for the same reason that any insults thrown by strangers over the Internet are not offensive to me.

Irony.

I see tons of people cyber bulling GOATs.
Does that make this place toxic? Should we flag those posts?
I think we lack empathy to Brigitte players

I don’t think you can cyber bully an abstract idea such as a team composition in the same way you can bully a person.

Unless… does GOATs get upset by it?

Not just GOATs. More like anyone who says they like this meta.

That’s different than your original statement.

Disagreement is fine. Their opinion can be unpopular, but that’s not really a good reason to be toxic towards them.

It’s hard to empathetic for something which people have willingly subjected themselves to.

Eh, you can still ignore and report. Doesn’t really change that you may have been harrassed in the first place for reasons completely beyond your control.

Eh, none of the posts here are necessary the vast majority are redundant. So singling out these posts actually does more or less indicate that there is a problem beyond believing the posts are unecessary.
