Please. Stop. I don’t care if it’s quick play or comp. It’s not fun to get stomped. He’s been garbage for like 2 years now. Please, stop. I get it. You want to be like necros or something. But you aren’t. And you probably never will be, especially with this current meta. Give up. Play something else. Let the rest of your team actually have fun with a close game.

I like playing winston, yet I can’t because the sustain meta makes him useless.
I would love for him to be buffed. It would mean all the genji players I get in my game might actually be able to do something.
It’s both. Devs for making him hot garbage, players for still throwing with him while he’s hot garbage.
I’m a tank main but play every role. 90% of games that I have a genji player we get stomped by reapers and doomfists and mei’s.
Well, they definitely won’t be if they’re never allowed to practice…

I like genji quite a bit, sadly I know that it’s extremely difficult to get value out of him these days compared to many other characters so I just don’t play him anymore.
Yeah but you brought up QP too. Are we really going to tell someone what to play in QP? Has it come to that? I don’t even like the hero but if someone is waiting a long time to queue to play their favorite hero how are you going to tell them not to?

So, I happen to duo with a Genji main a lot (QP that is). The amount of games we win BECAUSE we have that Genji to win important fights with blade/nanoblade outnumbers the amout of games we loose because he couldn’t find value by a pretty big margin.
To say that a Genji is feeding in every situation just because it is a Genji is just short-sighted and stupid. But oh well, I guess this is the forums

If it’s QP why would it matter? People want to play other heroes that aren’t the current 6 meta ones.

Nope. Thats not okay to blame the player. Theyre just playing the Hero they like and/or are best with. If you think that Hero isnt “Good enough”/UP/whatever, thats purely a balence issue.
You cant just tell other players “dont play this Hero, because i dont like them/dont like their current state, in the game”. That isnt okay.

And, I hope you dont report them for their Hero pick, either, as that is false reporting and abuse of the report system. Which, again, is not okay

That’s fair, but at least it’s YOUR choice not to play him. I don’t think it be right for someone to demand you don’t play him, especially in QP of all places. Just my point of view.

Like, similar and personal example: Tracer’s been pretty sub-par for awhile now. Meanwhile, Doomfist is meta.
I’m a pretty bad player, don’t get me wrong. But I promise you’d rather me be on Tracer than Doomfist, regardless of how much the meta favors him.
A lot of Genji players are in the same boat. They probably have hundreds of hours on him, and despite other heroes being better, they’re probably far more confident with him.

And that is your choice. But, people like the OP seem like the types who try to force their teammates on/off certain Heroes, based on their own opinion. And that isnt okay. Its even worse if the OP reports them for it, as well, as that isnt okay, either.

I agree. If someone told to switch off Moira or Lucio for Baptiste then I wouldn’t be as confident. Even if Baptiste is META, why would someone ask somebody to play something they aren’t as confident in? Like you said, it’s a comfort thing.

Yeah, im a pretty chill guy, in this regard. Play what you feel like/what works best for you.
Im only ever touchy when i see things, like:
- Emoting in Spawn
- Jumping off a cliff/killing yourself, over and over
- Ignoring requests for healing, and just DPS-ing all match
And things like that.
You know what I’m talking about. Blatant throwing and/or game sabotage.
But, Hero pick? I dont care. Hell, I never cared about team comp, either. I was fine with 3 DPS and all that. As long as everyone is trying their best to win and such, im good.
