If u have lag, STOP playing Comp until you solve your problem
If u have internet problems STOP playing Comp until you get a better internet connection
If u notice a bug (like the Update Screen bug) STOP insisting on playing Comp, until the bug is adressed
It’s about respect for others, and fair play. Since the beginning of S4, on almost every game I meet people that cry in chat they have one of this problems. But they still queue in Comp. WHYYYY???
JUST PLEASE, STOP. Don’t jump into Comp ruining everyone games if u know u have technical problems. Ok, I get it when u don’t know and things go south during a game. It’s fine, that I get. But if u know, just please, STOP. Go to QP, go to Arcade. We really don’t mind if u get DCd from a QP game.
Yesterday, one of the enemy team player got dcd. I told them that’s for sure a DC because before they got out of the game, I’ve seen them stuck into a wall not being able to move. The enemy team didn’t listen and left. After that, the DCd player came back to the game to see that they were left alone. And this is not an exception. It happens in 1/3 games.
I BEG YOU, JUST STOP.
We have enough smurfs and throwers to be mad about, we don’t need this too. I know it’s frustrating not being able to play a mode that you like. But think more about your team before jumping into Comp. It’s not fair to them, nor for u to lose a game just because you have technical problems that you knew about before hitting the “Ready” button.
i agree if you have a known issue that is fixable - then yes please don’t que for comp and then make excuses to your team. I don’t care, I’ll probably never see you again just fix your issue on your own.
As far as lag goes… Man I swear 1/2 of my games have a least one instance of rubber banding / no regs that I cannot explain. I literally have a PC dedicated to only playing OW ( i do everything else on a laptop). That pc doesn’t download anything, and I’ve played OW on the same hardware for like 4 years and its locked 240+ FPS so it’s not like crap gear but for some reason this season the servers are just doggy. (I have fully reliable internet too on a hardline connection, no wifi)
I really feel ya, and I’ve meet lots of players complaining about that. I am sorry for all of you, and I really hope Blizz will solve this problem, but until then, maybe, just maybe, please play fewer comp games? I don’t have this issue. I did have it a few times and I didn’t play comp for a few days, until the problem was solved.

Its not our fault they got rid of east coast servers…im not gonna stop playing comp. You dont have “this issue”? Well sounds like our issue became your issue too now and should complain to blizzard, not us and tell us to stop playing for a problem they created.
My internet is usually fine, I get 65 ping stable but sometimes I get games where I’m rubber banding and on 200+ ping for some reason. I’m convinced I get put into EU games sometimes because it doesn’t make sense other wise lol
I had the update bug pop up on me about 2 hours ago. It’s the least of the game’s issues. BTW if I never enter the game the game will cancel and no one gets screwed. How bout fix the game’s AWFUL matchmaking it has right now.
honestly I think MOST people agreed with the original poster until he mentioned that everyone should quit comp even if the issue is from the game/servers themselves and outside of our control. there is nothing we, the user can do about that.
No, do not stop playing comp. Please keep playing comp and keep having fun as much as possible. The game needs as many players as possible nowadays for some balancing.
Now tell me something. If your pipes are broken because your house constructor made them poorly, do you continue to use the water in the house, or you wait for the constructor to come fix the plumbing?
Never play competitive up to a day after a patch/update. Then after a say, check the forums to see if people are having server/applying update issues. Don’t play competitive if any issues have not been fixed.
The god awful matchmaker and a dead game is a far bigger issue.

LOL keep being cannon fodder for a dead game with zero incentives? Blizzard needs to come to terms that they woefully failed with Overwatch 2. Most people in a game are casual… blizzard has created a competitive system with no reason for the average Joe blow to queue. You need to bribe the masses to keep playing this game.
There is a reason why the matchmaker is terrible right now. If you actually set the matchmaker to create proper matches players will sit 10 + minutes waiting.

If more people played you wouldn’t have a constant stream of woeful skill gaps in games. OF COURSE a silver player is going to get crushed by a plat or diamond player it’s to be expected. The dead game forces these woeful mismatches
