We need to end this whining-about-everything culture. Samito complains about everything in the game and somehow the devs take it seriously. At this point I believe he is only saying stuff to get engagement on his social media.
His latest victim is Havana and CIRCUIT ROYALE, yes the Monaco map:
If you are a T500 player (with a big audience on your streams), and you complain about maps simply because they don’t fit >>>>YOUR<<<< playstyle, you shouldn’t be taken seriously. Samito is not a hitscan player, is not on Gale’s and Kep’s league and many other streamers who are good at widow, and because of that he wants these type of players to suffer with only playing maps where their main heroes are not as viable.
He can dodge Havana and Circuit as much as he wants as long as it doesn’t affect the other players who enjoy playing these maps, know how to play these maps, and know how to counter a widowmaker.
People who ask for nerfs - or worse - a complete REWORK just because they can’t play around a single hero also need to stop whining and either learn the same hero or just yk, be better at the game. Not fair to decrease the skill ceiling of the game and punish people who are good at certain things (such as mechanical skills) just because the average semi-famous joe is not having fun.
And no, I am not a widow player but yes I believe there’s too much hate towards the widow community.

I would take circuit over literally any push map. Now those make me want to alt f4.
But honestly i dont mind this opinion of his. We all have maps we just dont like for one reason or another. And lets be really fair here, some maps are pretty bad. As for the widow comments, like comeon widow at high levels is pretty not fun to play against and playing on a widow favored map against a good widow will make you hate the map.

Meanwhile Widow and Hanzo are #3 and #4 most picked DPS when looking at 100% of Quickplay+Comp data on Overbuff. Despite being bottom 5 pickrate in OW1.
If they can nerf/rework 10+ heroes because of how frustrating it is to play against them, then they can do the same against oneshot DPS heroes.

he is no diff than any pro player or streamer where their concerns are just things that cause them losses or loses them viewers. nobody should ever take them seriously as they are incredibly biased.

I addressed this. You can either learn how to play widow or keep complaining and feeding. The widow players are having fun in these maps and they are not having fun in Lijang tower and 2 points on Illios but you don’t see them asking these maps to be removed.
It’s not an issue to have Hanzo and Widow in the game. People are too lazy to improve their mechanical skills to challenge the enemy widows on 1v1. Several games in lower elos I asked soldier 1 tricks to switch and they were like “oh my widow is not good”. After they switched the widow problem became sooooo small (and in fact the soldier guy had a lot of fun hitting some headshots). Even if you’re not good, the enemy doesn’t know that and now he is trying to find you across the map instead of peeking freely.
I’m fine with that, my main issue is that the DEVS listen to people like him, who complain about everything and they may take his opinion seriously even though half of the OW community thinks that this guy is a joke.
Yes he does! He is the streamer who complains the MOST, about everything. I challenge you to find someone like ML7 complaining this much. And let’s not forget that during ow1 he would do his “unranked to GM” and be mad at the lower elo players for making human mistakes instead of giving them tips on how to improve at the game.

If the only reliable counter to a Sniper, is another Sniper, that’s just pathetically bad game design.
Ranged oneshot spam on a game where 94% of the heroes don’t have oneshots, overall makes it so Overwatch gets literally millions of fewer players, for no good reason.
Meanwhile, if they made it a lot easier to counter snipers. They’d overall gain players.

The Widow community aren’t Widow. They don’t control balance. They just like playing the hero.
All the person you replied to is saying is that they don’t deserve the hate for just playing a hero.
Fair enough, I don’t have any animosity to the player.
But I’m pretty focused on how bad the design is.
It’s like as if they removed a bunch of stuns, and then buffed Tracer to 250hp. I’d be calling that out as bad game design too.
Instead they removed a bunch of barriers, and then lowered the counterplay to Snipers.

So I think you have a misunderstanding of what the word everything means. Everything means there are zero things he doesnt complain about. There are many things he does not complain about. The only things he complains about are things that negatively effect him. There are lots of things he does not complain about. You are just showing your bias too similar to his bias. Also, because he complains doesnt mean he complains more than others as there are many streamers are who nonstop raging in their heads about stuff and have to subtly put it out rather than be just blatant about it like the samito guy. It is obvious you personally dont like him for some reason or another. Do your self a favor and try not to be as biased as he is. Nothing is worse than being the monster you complain about or hating someone because they are a reflection in the mirror.
I’ve genuinely never understood map hate… You’re gonna like some, some you’re not gonna like… but like why vehemently crusade against a map?

Well of course you as a Mercy player don’t want Widow to be bad. The two of you go hand in hand.
And he’s far from the only one hating Havana and Circuit. They’re sniper-favoured maps. Those maps are always going to be hated since you have little control over the outcome if you’re not on a sniper.

Mercy is a hero in the first person shooter video game Overwatch 2 by Blizzard Entertainment. Her primary weapon is known as the Caduceus Staff. Pressing primary fire will tether a yellow beam that heals a player for 40 HP/s. If a player is under 50% health, this rate is increased to 60 HP/s.
