Reaper lifesteal 50%, bastion armor recovery, even old bastion ironclad etc etc
I think its fair to say that by now we (and devs) should be very aware that you cant give high self sustain to DPS who also have high/easy damage application.
As long as supports and to a lesser extent tanks have such high sustain, we cant also give it to DPS heroes. It just invalidates all the others who dont have it.
Im glad its been reverted, like the last times, but maybe we can learn a lesson already?

Im sorry, is this an ONGOING issue? Because Reaper and Bastion had those things (tweaking numbers) since 2016 so … wdym?
PS: Reaper is trash in general, not even that life steal makes him better than 90% of the DPS roster, cmon now …
reaper used to have 50% lifesteal for a short period. he doesnt have that right now, so he isnt that strong. but back when he did, it was broken.
bastion has had self-sustain issues multiple times now (even in OW1 beta he had a personal barrier that they took away).
like i said, im glad to see the devs reacting quickly, but maybe they could take those experiences and realize that giving DPS heroes more self sustain is not a good idea if they also have high damage. Mei is an outlier, as her damage is low and her ice block puts her in a vulnerable position.
it is an ongoing issue. it happens every now and then when they dont seem to know how to buff certain low-tier DPS and just slap sustain on them instead of fixing their real problems.
DPS is by far the least impactful role, so it’s really strange to see anyone complaining about DPS. Supports and tanks can completely negate literally everything Bastion and Reaper does.
They literally just did a hotfix just to nerf bastion, idk what you make of that but it tells me very clearly that he was a huge problem. And again, it happens again and again, periodically. Reaper, Bastion (multiple times), etc.
What youre saying doesnt even negate what im saying, in the contrary. The devs always did these buffs when sustain from tanks and supports was too high, so they gave “tank buster” heroes even more sustain to kill them, instead of just nerfing tanks/supports.
Well, this is exactly what should apply to supports
