You mean more DPS. Unless OW1 gets a patch that turns the game into OW2, or the best OW1 can be with the style it wasnt intended for in the first place(which means deleting barriers), then its idiotic to have no barriers when the other team will have them.
Fun is subjective. I like double shield because I like playing Orisa and Sigma. If my other tank partner goes Orisa/Sigma then I’m going to complement them and play the other hero. Not everyone enjoys only playing Reinhardt or Dva.

Here’s the thing. I hate double shield. I don’t like playing it. I don’t like playing against it. But you know what I hate more than double shield? I hate people telling other people what they can and cannot play. I hate that with the passion of a thousand burning suns. Please stop telling me which tanks I am allowed to pick.

I think it would be interesting if they made it so that barriers gave Ult charge to the attacker team, if the defender team is using doublebarrier
People may as well get their fill of such comps while they still can. Double-off tank probably plays the closest to how solo tanking will be, so if anything, it’s the least interesting option right now.
And honestly, as much as I used to hate it, double barrier really isn’t that oppressive anymore.

SingleBarrier Orisa or SingleBarrier Sigma aren’t really an option for most ELOs either.

Exactly. I enjoy playing a bit of Pulled Pork or Gravity Buddies. Double barrier is just another comp. This is like crying over Pirate ship on a payload map.
Don’t blame the heroes. blame the balance of this game. Remember there was a hero that could bypass shields easily.
