Stop dev hate please

  1. The Devs are people too, and it doesn’t feel good when someone bashes something you worked so hard on.
  2. Logistically, it also makes no sense. When a toxic person told you that you were trash, you didn’t think “Oh wow, I should work on my gameplay”, you thought "Oh, you’re a jerk, I’m not listening to you. If you want the devs to fix something, tell them respectfully. Don’t be a jerk.

TBH their handling of mercy deserves the hate.

They didnt bother listening to the players and made a mess that they refuse to say was a mistake and revert and do they small tweaks that SHOULD have been done in first place.

but yeah devs are prolly use to being hated on (i know WoW devs are )

Maybe the hate on Mercy mains is deserving because all they do is complain when other heroes need it way more, but no. The only thing that matters to Mercy mains is Mercy, whether directly or indirectly.

the mercy mains were agsint 2.0 xD

we knew it was a monster and didnt want peopel to face it (and ofc b*tch about it)

and most of us never complain about other heroes. We were content with havign the hero we loved.

(i mean even the original ana nerfs werent from mercy ppl afaik)

Well Mercy mains aren’t everyone. Most of the community agrees that Mercy is better now. The people hating on Mercy 2.0 are just a vocal minority.

Yeah I’m sure the only reason it’s not been done is to spite you

The mere existence of a third Mercy mega-thread doesn’t do much for our communities perception of Mercy mains…

Jeff has stated Mercy isn’t being changed. It’s accept her or move on time Mercy mains…

Do you deserve their money and time?

If you buy their product with your money. You absolutely do. Consumers right brah. But hey there’s a reason why there’s been a huge exodus of players leaving. And currently less than 10k viewers on twitch

But sure, keep fanboying it up.

Not a mercy main here - and I think they should revert the rework. The only reason people wanted to be rid of it was because it was a very visual way for the enemy to point out your team’s strategic mistakes (namely, not killing mercy).

Not sure if you know what that means, if you’re being passive aggressive at me. Because sure the game is in a GREAT STATE. MMR is great, character balance is GREAT, Stagnant content is GREAT. Map is GREAT. Lore is Great. New heroes are GREAT. Competitive mode is GREAT. Censorship is GREAT. Loot boxes are Great. Lack of data is GREAT. etc etc

Ill never understand the blizzard fanboys.

No there’s no passive aggressiveness, it’s just the regular kind of aggression.

Like the reference, but I hope you agree with what I said.

With all due respect for your point of view, I dont precisely agree with it. As a professional who is putting his or her work into the public and charging money for it, it somewhat leaves your work open to criticism by nature. Not outright personal attacks perse, but criticism of the work you’ve done, regardless of how scathing it might be.

I would never advocate attack a content creator personally (Unless the content at hand is put forth as a representation of their personal views, which isn’t the case here at all.), but to criticize, even harshly, the work someone has done, especially work that comes with a price tag, I am fine with.

Learning what criticism to take and what to ignore and doing so with a smile on your face is part of what it means to be a professional, regardless of your field.

TL;DR Personal attacks on developers, never. Criticism, even harsh, against the product? Business as usual.

Like i said in other thread. People are allowed to criticize devs for their choices and lack of communication. Eg. today i spotted two threads with a reply from overwatch team. One of them was Jeff’s answer to when we will receive sym patch, that’s fine and cool, but on the other hand the other thread with ovw team reply was… what are you listening to rn now or something similar. Like seriously? Not only barely do they communicate with us (which is understandable in a sense that this is impossible to read and answer every thread), but also they choose the most silly thread to reply lol.
People should not be rude, but i get their frustration. They are not happy with certain heroes or their state.
We have PTR but it is commonly known that most of the bugs spotted there won’t be fixed anyway, so it feels like our feedback is being ignored. Some issues/bugs are being reported regularly for months yet most of them didn’t even get a reply and at this point i would even appreciate the jeff style “dont shoot genji when he deflects :)” kind of reply.

So yeah i understand they are people too but i still will expect some level of professionalism from them.
