Yo, time to “adapt and overcome” like every Genju main told Brig and Moira mains when they were hit with nerfs.
Play the game for a while and then complain like you told 99% of other players out there when they presented you with extreme Genji win rate and pick rates across the board.
You also explained that “the pick & win rates” will fall in place after a while and that everybody will get “used to” the new Genji.
Well, now it’s your turn to get “used to” the new Genji.

This is what you call irony.
Thats called being vindictive. I dont care about what toxic people incorrectly screamed to heroes they dont like. I want my hero to be balanced, and these changes to him were grossly and hilariously terrible.
First the buffs. Genji needed a damage buff as his burst was no longer enough to damage through the power creep in healing numbers. However they also gave him a spread buff which make him easier, and this change only helped low elo genji’s because high elo players werent missing their right clicks anyway.
The suitable buffs should have been to up his damage to 30 and nerf his fire rate, to lower his damage over time, and increase his burst. Give and take.
He also gets stupid buffs to deflect which no one wanted or asked for, as Deflect was never once thought to be the weak part of his kit holding him back, with deflect cancel being a terrible idea.
And after he was too strong, they took away the only thing that we wanted buffs for, and left us with even LESS damage, because we fire slower and were already landing all of our shurikens. It left high elo Genjis (where he was weak and unsuable) even weaker, and buffed the low elo genjis (where he was perfectly fine)
Blizzard straight up took a one mile jump OFF OF THE STOOL and then double jumped and took a mile and a half leap back when they realized the noose was strangling them. My hero is in a worse spot than before for anyone in 3.3k+
The next logical step that needs to happen for Genji is to revert the deflect changes back to normal, keep the fire rate nerf that he got, nerf the spread back to 12 and up his damage back to 30.

Gonna say this simply competitive is a waste of time with the game’s current balance state to begin with, Overwatch can hardly be competitive when 3/4 the cast is garbage at a time because Blizzard refuses to properly tone down meta heroes and instead deciding to power creep other heroes to compete with them.
And from my experience being 1k SR ahead of you in previous seasons (No Offense), the higher you climb, the more restrictive the meta gets. It’s meta or bust unless you’re a ridiculously determined onetrick, which by all means I applaud you for getting that far. Buffing Genji to compete with the currently busted meta hitscans was an idiotic decision on the devs part.
