There are daily threads on this forum from players complaining about long loss streaks. There is only one constant in every match. If you are losing 15-26 matches in a row then it’s time to look in the mirror and evaluate your own play because the more likely scenario is that YOU are dragging down your own teams with your own poor performance and rage queueing.

It’s not teammates. It’s horrendo-trash matchmaking. Seriously it’s bonkers how bad it is. And it’s not any teammates’ fault that it’s sucking this hard. So I never really blame teammates. Sometimes I’m that one at the bottom of the lobby by 1000 ranks. And sometimes it’s somebody else. But it’s ALWAYS there somewhere. And it sucks.

But the fact i solo charged off the map as Reinhardt is clearly my Lifeweaver’s fault for not gripping me back to a safe spot. I am outraged, and quite possibly shocked.

My worst lose streak was 9. You just gotta swtich and counter.
You can blame others but also have to blame yourself sometimes.
If you are good, its almost impossible to lose that many unless you kept being grouped with the same “bad” players.
Also, avoid weekends if you are solo quer.
if it was just the one player fault they lost the match then explain why does it appear that the team mates are bots , running off in all directions , cant hit a rein that standing 2 inches away from them , get killed and run back in solo , this isnt the losing player fault , they only control them selfs , and cant do anything if the team is playing like easy bots ,
the mm is rubbish , plain and simple , i use my self as ana example how can i get 3-4 matches where i heal AND damage over 6 per match get ridiculous elims and zero to 2 deaths on bap then suddenly i cant kill or hit a damn thing for next 3 or 4 matches ? along with the rest of the team for those next 3 or 4 matches ,
I blame lag instead

I had a game tonight against 3 top 500 players. I am plat on dps. How in the hell is that even going to happen? But what am I actually supposed to do?
Is a 26 loss streak 100% the matchmaker or your teammate? No, but you are absolutely kidding yourself if you think the matchmaker is anything but god awful.
The problem can be the teammates, but it’s because the matchmaker is mixing players from different ELOs, and we know each ELO has a different way to play the game.
That’s one of the reasons the game is becoming more toxic every season, and why the leaver’s problem is getting worse.

I only play solo queue. Why should I be stuck playing on work nights just because of a dog crap match maker?
Sorry, but it really is the matchmaking. If the matchmaking actually worked you wouldn’t be losing match after match after match. Because if you really were bad and dragging your team down the matchmaker would compensate and place you with players of a similar skill to your own. But that’s not happening.
Guess I should blame my dad for letting the dog out barking so loud then.
look one tank has 35 elims 1 death. other tank has 5 elims 10 deaths.

I mean even basic qp games are lopsided.
It wears you down overtime, like you can try all you want.

I don’t think its blame so much as advice.
We need to look pass the frustration and think about their feedback.
Regardless if it was mean we can still learn from it. We may even realize “yes I did misplay or could have done better.” Maybe a seap would have been more effective? Which other heros could I have played to make the match better or help my team?
The way I see it I’d rather have a vocal angry teammate, because it shows they cared enough in the match to put effort into winning, whereas the quiet time onetrick is usually the worst.
Why? Because the one trick player won’t care they lost or the fact that they may have been the weak link ignoring their team entirely. These are the players who have muted everyone and only care about their specific hero improvement. A single person like this will make the match unchallengeing ruin it for his team forcing a 4v5.
And in a 5v5 format where teamwork is so much more important than 6v6 it could actually be your own fault the match turned out poorly. I’m not saying your bad because I don’t really now. But keep in mind that pass all the anger they may have a point. Its up to you how you take that feedback.
The esports OWL has always been a horrible influence on the game. It gives off these toxic mentalities of “shut up and deal with it.” Attitude which is just oppressive to player expression.

90% of it is NOT the team mates. Its the bad matches that are organized in the first place.
Blizzard is living up to its name once again. That they literally are clueless when it comes to any sort of PVP match building. Most other game companies in the world get it. Blizzard does NOT.
All I played tonight was repeated stomps and poor match-ups and my guess is the person running the server matching tonight is a TROLL. The real gameplay sabotage here is the poor abilities for their crew to build a system that organizes matches in the first place.
Their reputation proceeds them once again. World of Warcraft was (and is) a shinning example of the lack of their abilities to get a handle on fair matches. Nothing like constant steam rolls in every battlegrounds. Whether it was Warsong Gulch, Eye of the Storm, or Arathi basin. They just couldn’t get a handle on it. Then they become INFURIATED when they get 3rd partied and someone else does it RIGHT.
Bottom line is. The only thing they can do is prove to the player base and their competitors is there is zero value left in this company. It is a souless game that was taken out back to pasture, because their owners that are all about funneling money into War mongering games like COD, get priority resources, while everyone that works on match maker is unable to get a handle on their game.
Dont blame the player, blame the problem where it starts in the first place and thats the Match organization team. They CAN do better, they just chose NOT to do better.

I didn’t have a losing streak, but there seems there was a bug that deranked me. For some reason, it put me in b5 at the start of the season. I climbed out on Brig with an 87% win rate. Every time I went 5-4 it deranked me a division until B5 71%. I was going 5-4 playing really late at night since I don’t care unless I lose more than that. I was working on getting better at the game. Then it would say b5 71% no matter what. I’ve taken a long break. My friend also lost his cool from this(bug?) and got suspended. Nobody is complaining about it anymore and Blizz said they fixed the % bug. I usually blame myself, but I still maintained a positive win rate albeit much lower after getting stuck in b5. If it’s back to normal like at the start of the season, I should be able to climb back to silver and maybe gold (I’ve improved a lot).
