Seriously, these past months I’ve seen post around the forums and on Reddit with people who keep blaming the devs for the situation the game and the league is in currently. When in actuality it is us, the players, who are the problem. WE wanted 2-2-2 lock, WE wanted a ban system.
It is us who have brought ourselves into this situation, not the devs. So please stop giving them the blame for everything wrong with the game. They are trying their uttermost best to give the player base what they want, and yet we just start trashing them like they are players on the Boston Uprising.
They are trying their best.
I know it is the easiest way to just give the blame to the devs but you need to remember, balancing a game like Overwatch is hard. When you balance one hero, then another one is gonna be the problem.
That is why I would like, if you guys have the time for it, to instead of giving that “constructive criticism” you guys love to give (Which it mostly isn’t or it is a very negative edition of it) To go out and say thank you to the devs. Thank them for trying their best, thank them for trying to push out new content nearly every second week. Thank them for the amount of time they use every day to make the game better, even in these hard times. They are trying their best. Some devs don’t even try, but Jeff and the gang they are.

Hero bans though, they are horrible. Especially with the RNG "Oh these x heroes got a 10%+ pick rate this week so they all go into the hat to be randomly picked and the ones who are 20% gets pulled out instead of the one who is 80% lol. RNG bans zzzz

I’m happy with my arcade comp, but please don’t group everyone into one pile and then talk down to them.
Not only that, people are allowed to change their mind once they learn more.
Just because they wanted something before, that doesn’t mean they always have to want it.
2-2-2 is alright, but Hero bans has to go unless they change it. Picking heroes out of a hat to be banned if they get a 10%+ pick rate in their role is a really bad thing.
who too blame tho? when you nerf a character from 200 to 120… thats just evil…you didnt try to nerf it to 190 or 180, but picked 120…thats just vindictive and spiteful…

Mei has like a 45% win rate in GM now, I think it’s one of the lowest.
The fact people are still claiming she’s overpowered is selfish. Mei is fine, and then she even got nerfed again the other day with her freeze and ult CC reduction
You can read all the forum post on both Reddit and on here mate from around mid 2019 cause those were basically mostly people who wanted 222 lock.
You can also see the polls people like The Omnic Post who made a poll asking if people wanted 222 lock. There are a lot of examples and most of the people who have a voice wanted it.
It’s because they don’t like getting frozen.
And if someone doesn’t like something, it’s not allowed to exist!
I mean, sure, I hate being frozen by Mei. Especially when the person playing her has awful aim and THEY KEEP MISSING ME WITH THEIR ICICLE. jUST KILL ME ALREADY. But I also love playing her, and I don’t want it changed because of that. (Granted, I would like people to better aim, but that’s not the point.)
Well, no. The devs are wholly responsible for the state of the game. They’re the developers.

See, some of us may have, and they may have even wanted what was implemented but you’ll still find plenty that didn’t or they wanted it implemented in a much different way. Others may have even wanted this solely for OWL as regular comp doesn’t really have the same sort of issues…
But I digress, good or bad the developers and the company they answer too are wholly responsible for the state of the game, not us =_=
As an aside, didnt the devs try and shift the blame for Brig onto the community “be careful what you wish for”
And that’s not the majority of the player base. It’s people on the forums. The majority of the player base doesn’t have a forums account.
And even then, it was the most vocal about it.
You are more likely to speak up if you don’t like something.
I honestly don’t understand how people can get frozen so often. Even if a Mei gets in my face I will try so hard to move around and attack her and usually she’ll either use her cryo-Freeze or I’ll turn around quickly and look at the floor with a healing orb praying she’ll not run around to the front and try to headshot me lmao.
Like if you’re having a big problem with being frozen, I honestly suggest going Orisa, Reaper or Moira
Even when I’m other heroes too I’m not really having an issue with it tbh.
Okay but your confusion goes away when you realize that 1. People that didnt want this are complaining and 2. People that realized some of these features are horribly implemented like hero pools which only gets worse and more poitnless as things progress.
