STOP Back Filling Into Finished Games

I’m sure this is discussed frequently, but why can we still join into a match that is finished?
I understand backfilling needs to exist, but once overtime starts on the last point can we just not have that as viable match option. I’m sure there is a solution for this, yet it has seemingly been an issue forever.
I’ve frequently run into this in qp and it makes my queue time feel frustratingly useless.

So many matches where all I get to do is see the Defeat screen and the potg… yippee!

What they need to do (bare minimum) is: If there is not enough time left in the match to enable you to be endorsed by other players, then don’t back-fill teams.
