I swear since they added perks every single match I play is a GIANT stomp in either direction, no in-between. Not even like before where you’d still have a shot at turning it around. Literally CANNOT get the match to budge
From what I’ve seen nothing has really changed. QP is basically the same and comp is more stompy but that’s largely because of the rank reset. In one match I have a tank on rein pinning in every fight and dying and the next match I’m playing against a masters 5 stack
I will say, I’ve backfilled more in the last week and a half since s15 launched than I think I have in the last year of playing overwatch. Idk what that says about the quality of matches but at the very least it feels like there’s a lot more leavers
Feels like they widened the tank placement to whatever. So sometimes you get a silver tank and a plat tank which is not a hill the rest of the team can overcome. Other times you get lucky and it’s only gold-plat.
I would much rather wait 3-5 minutes between rounds.
Only 1 in 4 or 5 games are kinda close. It is what it is…
In the games I’ve played, yes there are more one sided matches. Im talking like 30-40 elim difference.
I have kind of the opposite.
I have a lot harder time judging which team is actually paying attention anymore.
I constantly end up with a team I’ve mentally started to give up on turning it the heck around for the last minute and full 100%pushing/capping
It’s very weird.
It feels stompier to me. It’s also much more chaotic.
I feel like there’s a not-insignifcant percentage of the playerbase that literally has no idea perks exist.
Cheating is epidemic levels. Eventually even the gaslighting won’t be able to contain the truth of it.
From the matchmaker to stomps to matches and players that feel totally off, the source of it is the rampant cheating and sly use of toggle cheats.
And rest assured, they will do anything and manipulate any conversation having to do with it. They neeeeeed it.
I don’t see an increase in the number of stomps. They’ve always happened and always will.
But I noticed how the stomps play out is a little different now. You could roll up to the last point with 5mins and 2meters to go, and it still gets pushed to overtime.
Usually, it’s the team getting stomped that makes a last-ditch effort and counter-swaps to hold with spawn advantage. The attacking team won’t swap because “we have 5mins and I don’t want to lose my perks”.
