Still waiting on that Hanzo nerf

His primary fire is still way over the top.

Any time you want to actually fix that, that would be great.

And how would you compensate buff him?

I agree that his primary fire is annoying and too strong capable of oneshotting most heroes except tanks, but judging from his stats is he pretty balanced.

Nerfing him might destroy him. You need to compensate buff him if you want to nerf a part of his kit.

Well good luck getting that because hes not overpowered or in need of any nerf. Maybe after the rework he was a little overtuned but they, thank god, slightly toned him down. Hes fine.

What’s wrong with his primary fire? It’s the same as it always was with the exception of a somewhat faster arrow speed.

And why would I need to? Sombra didn’t get any compensation buffs when she got a two second cooldown attached to her Hack.

Not every hero needs a compensation buff.

I think they could tone down his arrow speed, but I don’t know, I don’t play Hanzo

That would just make him inconsistent and unreliable again. He’s been tuned down, and his alternatives have been buffed. His win rate is middling. I don’t really see a need to “fix” Hanzo anymore. If anything just remove an arrow from Storm Arrows. Done.

He has a ultimate on E

Bahahaha. Wow. This is such bull.

I think the issue is not that his primary fire is to fast but more with the fact that when coupled with his high mobility provided by lunge he can play at most ranges now.

No range is a real danger for him and his projectile speed makes him all but hitscan in the close to mid range.

I guarantee if you nerf his projectile speed it will be back to the dumpster for him. However, if we increase the cooldown of lunge he would have to play a little further back which takes him out of “like hitscan” range. Which should result in more balanced play against him.

His primary fire is fine. If anything, maybe reducing his storm arrow capacity from 6 to 5 would be cool, but the nerfs he’s already gotten have put him in a fairly good spot, I think.

The should remove his headshots for every type of Arrows he isnt a Sniper anymore he is a Spam Hero like Junkrat a Spam Hero shouldn Headshot

I’d keep headshots for his primary but remove it on his storm arrow ability. As you said he is far from a sniper and more of a spam character.

Or just remove it all together. He has too much ultility anyways.

This sounds like a plan.

I think we should keep pushing the “reverse falloff” idea.

Some form of minimum range to make charging in to an enemy to make their hitbox the size of a truck so your arrows can’t miss an nonviable strategy

That’s just how it works and it’s the same for any hero. Soldier’s dps is roughly 80% higher and has spread on his weapon to compensate, but when you’re in kissing range of a tank you should land practically every bullet.

But the difference is he has a one-shot kill on most of the roster, and thats true for any range. Soldier has greatly decreased damage at range due to damage fall-off and bullet spread.

Much like if a soldier and a widow faced off in combat, the soldier would want to be closer to the target. Hanzo does not face this problem like Widow, and benefits greatly from decreased distance.

Yeah and fires projectiles which make his fire increasingly unreliable as that distance increases. Also has to charge up his shots which means after the first one he’s doing nothing but moving slower until the next arrow lands, as an auto/rapid fire hero continues to spam and in Soldier’s case cannot be evaded by another player. Not to mention Helix which gets easier to land as he closes the gap and means he need only land 5 body shots to finish the kill on Hanzo.

Different heroes are different, this is good.
