So no new events in about a year no new update since blizzcon who all is pissed?

Not sure what this has to do with Competitive Discussion. However we do know that the development team is currently very busy with the development of Overwatch 2. We knew there was going to be no new seasonal event content (short of new skins). That being said we are getting new lore (with the Mercy short story being the most recent), new skins, and there are still balance changes coming through which (in my personal opinion) is making a dramatic improvement on gameplay.

So no I am personally not irritated in any capacity.

I haven’t touched Overwatch in a little over a month. Is there still those weird role lock queue times?

It varies across ranks, but typically damage role players have a signficantly longer wait than most roles. However, things are going to really shake up with the upcoming balance changes and the new “While You Wait” features coming in the next patch.

You mean 10,20,30+ minute queues? Heck yeah those are still around.

Perhaps instead of having to add ‘while you wait’ features, maybe just bring back normal competitive mode. People who enjoy waiting and getting locked into a role can wait. Normal people can have fun. It’s a win-win.

Little embarrassed the myst commented but yeah i think a lot of people feel like i do.

Why cant blizz align monetary gains to what the community wants like a ranked system that works and new heros…?

I’d pay 20 bucks a month for normal competitive mode to come back, that’s for sure.

Except that will further divide the community between having two different modes increasing queue times for everyone (and would very likely create very imbalanced and toxic matches for the non-role lock side just as Quick Play Classic has demonstrated).

I find that RQ has been far more Toxic than before it was introduced Live into Competitive. A ton less players actually caring about playing the game and doing as they please rather than what the team needs with the Objectives.

We need free to play and pay for new heros. Pick and bans.

And i even see traits would make the game more 3d.

I’m not pissed, but I’m also not exactly thrilled that a game known for being a bit…hungry, shall we say? for content is going to be tightening the belt even more so they can focus on basically the paid pve expansion.

Sadly, I’ve no desire to play in the workshop or training area while I wait. Add in the flaws in game that plague low ranks?

I’ll stick with the new fps I ran across instead of Overwatch. But thanks again for word on the role lock wait times. Glad I’ve missed nothing.

Jeff literally said at blizzcon nothing new coming till ow2 other than 1 new hero for sure, skins & sprays.
He said they were going dark.
What did you think going dark ment?
