To give some background, my headphones have two audio devices, one for chat and one for other audio. By setting one as the communication device and the other as default, the headphones can treat the channels separately, allowing you to adjust the relative volume between the two easily. I think somehow Overwatch has become mis-assigned to go through the chat channel and NOT the regular game/other audio channel.
Since the update I had a sound glitch where everything was really quiet and a lot of sounds weren’t playing at all. At first, I thought that it was a problem with using Dolby Atmos (and maybe it’s related), but the problem was solved by manually selecting the audio device for chat through the sound settings. This is really annoying because now I can’t adjust Overwatch volume vs chat volume with my friends on Discord easily (as I can with everything else and earlier versions of Overwatch).
Please fix, ty.
