Stats tab redesign

How about make it better for anyone?

  • Kill count: only final elimination blow counts as a kill!!! (its stupid when we have all 1 kills, but only 1 enemy died!)
  • Assistance - clear
  • Deaths - clear
  • DMG - clear
  • Heal - clear
  • Mit - clear
  • add new one: Heal received - and this special to not blame all the time suport (or yes?)

What’s weird is that we have an Assists column, and yet as you say many people get a Kill when an enemy dies. I get Assists shows non-damaging effects (such as healing, CC, etc), but it’s counterintuitive. If I damage an enemy and someone else deals the killing blow, I should get an assist, not a kill.

If you add healing received you would want damage received as well. However it’s probably too much data.

Exactly. I m not into hate or something this direction, but its so buggy since day 1. Mostly Moira has the most kills, even if she doesnt dpsing. When its possible to count kills in deathmatch, its possible in regular game too.
Ps: dmg receiving = heal received (or almost due self heal and healtpack ussage)

Overwatch is trying to promote team play. If elims only count the final blow, then kill stealing becomes a thing because people want to keep their numbers high regardless of if it’s helpful to the team.

People would get angry at their own teammates for killing enemies, because they did all the work and another person sniped the elim with 1 point of damage.

There could just be a ā€œsolo killā€ counter instead.

Erm… this won’t work on it’s own to decrease support blaming. If there’s a person who spends all their time running around solo or getting oneshot by a widow, there’s no way for a support to heal them.
At which point that person will commence support blaming as usual, despite the lack of healing received not being the support’s fault if this person is accross the entire map while the supps are trying to keep the other 2 alive on the point.

they should make the death number red and shiny if it goes beyond 10 and is much higher than anyone else. I want people to realize dying isn’t the answer, never will be.

Am I the only one that doesn’t care how much healing I get…

If I die, that’s my fault, not theirs.

You don’t, because you have deaths and you know the character’s max HP.
With Healing Received, you have the missing part of the equation.

we want you to pointlessly click 5 cards, the new templates we learned from udemy ui crash course.

A good thing to replace with healing received. Nobody cares about assists, and most people have no clue what it even is. Healing received (or ult fed) would be a much better measure.

In balanced game, where both teams are equall and do their best, there is no time for: hey, you finished my prey, because in balanced game could go either way.
Second point is: did you never had a game, where Ana saw only tank, and Mercy perma attached to her Dps duo - and I m keep dying to DOT dynamite or Orb right next to them. And than they blame, they have more heal than enemy suport…

People will do it regardless of if they have time. They will stand out in the open to angrily type in chat and demand the enemy team to report you.

I keep dying to those things while diving in and trying to keep my team from dying to them.

I keep dying to a diving tank and flanking dps that my teammates decide to ignore, and then they blame me for letting them die in the fight while i’ve only just respawbed with my support buddy because we got deleted by a doomfist, a gorilla, dva, sombra, a widow oneshot while trying to heal an over extending teammate. Or any flanker of choise.

I used to be able to keep my whole team on 0 deaths or the regular while solo healing in oq. In ow1, and then during the ow2 beta. And i take pride in that.
That truly stopped happening after season 9.

I’m not against a ā€œhealing receivedā€ stat. I just know it’s only one side of a coin, and without knowing that other side of the info the crybabies are just going to cry harder while dying at the enemy spawn. Because now they have ā€œhard evidenceā€ that they’re not getting healed.
Despite their evidence being faulty, as it lacks details.

Either a ā€œtime out of support rangeā€ stat, or ā€œunhealable damage takenā€.
Which would include all killing blows that go over the max hp treshold of the hero.
Like a widow headshot, a point blank dva bomb, getting hooked at half health and other big burst damage that’s impossible to be saved from without an immortality ability.

Toast will not be happy with this suggestion

I mean it can be your fault…but it’s not like it can’t be a supports fault

I’m not going to openly blame them…but sometimes it isn’t your fault

I wouldn’t even worry about what they did wrong.

Even if they are not positioned where I’d expect them to be, it’s up to me to readjust. I’m not going to tell them what to do.

Agreed, I’ve been saying with need kills and heals received for a long time now. Unfortunately they probably won’t do it because it makes sense.
