Hey all- I would be curious to know the win versus loss ratio of teams that start on defense. I feel like recently I’ve been starting competitive matches on defense much more often than on attack. As a result, I’ve also noticed that the majority of these matches result in a loss due to the team being tilted after getting pushed on the first round.
Blizzard, why not implement a queue system that alternates one for one starting on attack mode, and then defense mode after each match?
Because like any other filter… that increases queue times in general.

I’m assuming you’re talking about quick play here, since you do both in competitive. It used to be that you’d switch to the defensive side in the next match if the lobby persisted, but for whatever reason they removed that. We didn’t get to do it much anyways since everyone leaves the lobby at the end of a match.
He literally designates the issue as a competitive one. What he meant was that starting on defense was disfavorable in his experience as offense often had the momentum.
You’re right, my bad. Seems kind of frivolous in that case.

Frivolous in what way? I think it’s a valid point - I would love to see data on win loss ratios for those who start on defense.
