If you are gold and make alt, it is almost certain that you will end up between silver–diamond after few games based on the luck. But if bronze player create alt, its almost impossible to end up in bronze and very possible to end up in silver/ gold, with some luck even in plat. If gm player create alt, its impossible to place above high diamond. And thats what is wrong with placement system.
Not only placement system and you rank is based on luck a lot, but it wont even allow you to place where you belong.
Blizzard created a maximum decay or minimum decayed position for Top 500/GM so they could do it for every rank. Plats go down to 2000 Golds go down to 1500, silvers go down to 1000, Bronze reset at 0
They really messed themselves up by making the ladder work differently for everyone.
Being towards the bottom myself, I’d rather they start at the top. I already have tons of smurfs and washed up gold players in my matches. I dont need masters alt accounts ruining even more matches.
Idk man, it would certainly create a lot of confusion in player base. Might be interesting experiment for sure but I dont really see a point why do it. Blizzard did it for gm to get rid of players who were camping multiple top500 spots with several accounts.
It’s actually the trolls and washedup players, that make your life difficult. You and I agree there.
And consider: If you’re a silver player (let’s say) who fell into bronze, it’s a hard trap because the skill difference isn’t enough to pull yourself out; the trolls can easily keep trolling the same player over and over.
And it’s not a rank that is difficult to get into (if I ever wanted to, I could fall to bronze without getting caught), Without paying someone, I could never get into GM. I’m juts not good enough. There’s no natural barrier for trolling in bronze/silver like there is with GM.
A way to create a natural barrier and a break from the trap is by injecting new players and adding some randomness. It’s the only rank that would benefit from this sort of randomness.
Kind of selfish dont you think? You will have better games at 2100 and players in bronze and silver will suffer greatly as everyone who is in gold+ will stomp them on the way back.
I think new accounts should start in bronze. And add back those massive win streak bonuses to get them where they belong faster.
Also people need to stop trying to devise an anti smurf system. It gets too convoluted. But truly new players on new accts should not be starting at the median. If they are smurfs…then they are gonna.monkey with any system you put in place.
I understand why players smurf or play on alts, I am not saint in this myself, but honestly anyone who do not derank in stacks or anyone who derank to troll others who are not so good or make fun of them deserve insta ban…
