StarCraft Shooter apparently in the works

Just read some news that there is a StarCraft Shooter in the works right now with the director of Far Cry 5 recently being hired for the project.

Could this be another FPS game from Blizzard? I know Im excited about the idea! How do you feel about a possible StarCraft FPS?

could be cool, I personally liked Far Cry 5 and New Dawn a lot so hopefully it’s true and good

Given how Overwatch 2 had to be released, I have that distinct feeling that looking forward to a new Blizzard game is not a good move to make.

I will make a note for future-me in around 3-5 years to ask about that project again. Sorry, but I am not exited for anything that is over one year away.

I’ve heard it’s going to be something similar to Helldivers 2, but I haven’t been able to find a solid source, so take that with a grain of salt.

Given how that Blizzard survival game project got canned and, um, the whole history of Starcrat: Ghost, I don’t expect it to see the light of day.

You’re probably thinking of that survival game they were planning (Project Odyssey, I think?)

Nah. Before that there was talk about a FPS game in the SC universe that got canceled for OW2(?) or something like that (and I don’t mean Project Titan either)

Not gonna lie, if we get a story driven SC Shooter with PVE campaign and the reason we didn’t get OW2 was because they moved resources, I am no longer mad.

Who knows, maybe now that microsoft owns them, they will finally push one out. It definitely is a cool idea. Starcraft has an awesome universe.

Eh their no longer managed by bobby the guy that killed effectively OW2, and their not dealing with covid conditions anymore. So we should be good.

I was pretty disappointed that StarCraft Ghost never got made. It looked interesting.

This is their 3rd attempt at a StarCraft shooter. Maybe 3rd time’s the charm? Or maybe it’s just doomed from the start.

Could be a good game, Overwatch is a good game if you deleted tanks/ supports. The shooting, TTK, movement is the best
