They’re absolutely referring to Briggite, which I think isn’t fair given he was likely under pressure to rush out a hero that would essentially be a nuclear option to completely curb stomp dive after 2 years of being meta.
Which is hilarious considering they literally never even attempted to actually nerf dive… like seriously.
Tracer didn’t get her first nerf until 2018, dva got buffed mid dive meta???, and monkey didn’t get his first nerfs until ow2.
Yup; this was the real crux of the problem.
don’t forget ramattra appear the first time in archives
Literally everything they did is all their fault because they even go out of their way to make sure they always do what nobody is asking.
Shareholders control the company
They need to see profits quarterly
When Jeff Kaplan said he needed more time for PvE because it was a very large project they decline the time and forced them to push out what they had for OW2
The fault
Fell into the devs because poop flows downhill, upper management and shareholders are the cause of the downfalls and shortcomings of promises about OW2
Jeff left because he no longer could take the time to put the love care and passion into the game He wanted to create. It was all about quarterly profits which was easiest to obtain through battle pass and skins.
Years of development into PvE wouldnt make money until it was done. It’s not even corporate greed so much as it’s shareholder greed
