Stage 4 viewership will most likely take a huge hit

“Not even fun to watch, not even fun to play either, it’s pretty [Edited by Blizzard] boring, this game is pretty bad… [Edited by Blizzard]s boring low skill ResidentSleeper” - Sinatraa

When someone who is getting paid $150k to play this game speaks about it the way he does you know he’s completely right and if Blizz doesn’t do anything ASAP it’ll be the death of OWL.

It literally makes no sense to cater to and balance the game around the casuals if they want this to be a successful esport. No one will want to watch s10 meta.

400k first day.
200k Stage 2 finals
150k Stage 3 finals

Stage 4 with Brig meta will probably be around 70-80k.

Sinatraa is the manifestation of toxicity though. I mean this is the guy who streams himself throwing in comp games. It’s ultimately destined to drop in viewership simply because it’s 99% of the time the exact same team comps playing on the same maps. The only times viewership peaks is when it’s a game with two high-seed teams. I personally enjoy watching Fuel and Gladiators play simply because they actually use different team comps besides standard Genji/Tracer/Widow D.va/Winston comps. I enjoy watching NYXL play only b/c Pine is nutty.

OWL needs to die and go away. It was a stupid idea tbh and even dumber when they try to push it as a “real” sport. It’s not…so please stop doing that. Like when the compared the losing steak to be the worst in sports history. lmao…stop…it’s not a sport and don’t do this.

Same teams all the time, same kills, same big plays.

This game is sooooo repitive it’s unreal. Adding a new heros every 3-4 months then realeasing and then nerfing them all the time. Its not fun anymore

thats probably true to any game if you watch hundreds of hours of play, same for any type of sports
