Stadium - What's the point of Survival Tree?

Cassidy two taps through anything not a Tank, as does Soldier. May as well go full damage/ability.

but it’s probably for tanks, explains why JQ is unkillable most of the times (there’s some skills for healers you can take as any roll)

Headshots in general seem to be bonkers. 15% reduced Crit damage isn’t nearly enough. I don’t know why people are worried about Widow being in Stadium when Cass is there in a much more Survivable and versatile form.

JQ has a shout reset on elim power and she already has lifesteal in her base kit :sob: it makes her kind of insane

yeah and add all those life steal things (everything gets lifesteal haha)

Uh, to sustain? You use that tree to counter Cassidy two tapping you or whatever.

He’s two tapping me when I invest heavily in it on a non-tank. Like I’m talking 125 extra armor, 15% reduced crit damage, 15% reduced weapon damage when I have armor, 15% damage taken over 3s, kinda thing.

The survival items seem way more useful against sustained/shotgun damage rather than burst. I was getting dived on by Dva as Ashe one game, so I just stacked up like 200 armor and suddenly she couldn’t kill me.

Yeah, I’d be surprised if D.Va could kill anyone with that, but a Reaper with the “Ignore 50% of Armor Mitigation” is just a nightmare to anyone, especially tanks.

Against hard hitting attacks like Cass and Ashe headshots it does nothing.

Remember:
In a mode where you can be “Overpowered” so can your enemy.

You still need to practice basics in this mode. You can be durable but you’re still not a Tank. Play cover, prioritize targets with your team (difficult, I know, not being sarcastic. Getting teammates to cooperate is near impossible) and land your shots.

I’m willing to bet they will add a “survive with 1 HP when taking critical damage over [value]” when they add Widow.

I just think if I spec heavily into a tree that is about survival, I would like more results than getting two tapped by someone who isn’t specced as heavily into their tree.

The dmg and survival trees are not weighted equally at all

You would think a purple dmg item should be mitigated by a purple survival item, but it takes like 2-3 survival items to soak up the impact of 1 dmg item

I think something is bugged cus i dont understand how +5% weapon dmg here and there is allowing people to scale to the dmg numbers theyre getting to. +5% weapon dmg on cass is only like + 3dmg lol
