Stadium support queues 18X longer than tank and dps?

What is going on with the support queues in this mode? Been steadily rising. Today it’s <1m tank / dps and 18m for support. My tank / support are elite and my dps is pro, so if anything I would assume the higher rank might take a bit longer.

All the heroes in the other roles are boring

Its really disheartening, makes me avoid the mode all together.

One of the downsides of role queue… If some roles are massively over represented, you have bad queue times

Tank I understand less people wanna play. But in normal modes dps and support often have similar queues. Wonder why it’s that different in stadium. Sure some people will say dps is boring or something, but is support way more fun than usual? Is it easy mode so people gravitate towards it? As someone who played all of 2 games, 1 dps and 1 support, idk.

Supports finally have an opportunity to play some meaningful and fun builds. Support is also the easiest class to play in Stadium. I love playing me some Lucio in Stadium.

Genji is too weak in this mode, so nobody plays it.

While he isn’t very good in stadium and is a popular hero, that alone wouldn’t make a huge difference. It’s not like he is picked almost every game in normal modes.

Because DPS get stuff like “one extra max ammo per elimination” and “deal 12.5 bleed for 3 seconds; does not scale” and the only fun tank just got like quad nerfed, while Juno is playing Thanos Simulator and Lucio is doing 1,000,000,000 heals/10min

Some of the perks look like they were designed to scale based off of WP and AP. It was probably a last minute decision not to allow perk scaling because they would be stronger than all of the other perks in Stadium.

I guess the script has been flipped and now Support is the most popular role. DPS used to be the most popular.

this is why they need to NOT add new heroes to stadium yet and instead focus on getting the OG heroes in first. they’ll bring in the most players by doing that which will help smooth the queues.

This game lost a lot of DPS players because getting kills is tough for average joe playing FPS. There are so many tank and healing abilities neutering DPS efforts, sometimes it just feels hopeless. You can be a Bastion in turret form and shooting at enemy tank and actually see tank’s HP going up, not down…

Been that way for over a year now.

I don’t TBH. If I liked DVA or Rein by default I think I would play them, good builds. I mained JQ for awhile at stadium launch, and I will say she only has one build that’s fun for me (2x carnage leap).

I’ll queue more tank maybe when monkey and hazard are added. I have a ton of fun on Mei, and I have a few good builds for her, although multi-wall blizzard is too good at my rank not to do. The troll ball build isn’t as good I’ve found higher up, maybe beam tank build is still good haven’t tried in awhile.

I simply suck at the other available DPS heroes so I can’t comment on how fun their builds are… I did get booped off a ledge by mccree today though so that seems fun lol.

I only play Lucio on support and he’s definitely the most consistently fun just because there are so many playstyle options.

One thing that might be important is Cybervenom. I use it a lot when playing tank / support if I’m going to be diving backlines for quick assassinations and my DPS up to this point in the match haven’t been going with me. I guess that epic kind of removes the uniqueness of the DPS passive. As far as I can find online Blizzard doesn’t allow those effects to stack, so I’m guessing DPS don’t get a benefit from building that item.
