Stadium Powers You Want Buffed?

Some heroes in stadium have powers that could be cool but they’re just a little underpowered to be worth choosing.

My number 1 is Moira’s Empowering You, which allows her secondary fire to target allies for a 15% damage boost and apparently restores her biotic resource at a 75% rate (which is not listed in the power description in-game.)

I have a couple problems with this power. Similarly to Sombra’s White Hat perk from the main game, this allows your allies to get in the way when you’re trying to attack enemies. Likewise, for having to focus on your allies to get value, the 15% damage boost is not enough to make it worth it. 25% damage boost for a single target would be good enough, or move the 15% onto her primary heal so you can give it to your whole team at once without potentially messing up your secondary fire targeting.

I like the idea of giving Moira utility, but this power is awkward to use and undertuned. What are some powers you would want to see buffed or tweaked?

All of them except for the auto-aim ones.

I would love to see Lucio un-nerfed just a little. He has no fun builds right now. Put some damage back into boop.

Alternatively, make his beat damage perk have a wider radius and less drop-off, but lower the damage to compensate, that way a beat damage build would be viable. Right now you have to land on someone, which was funny for April Fool’s, but doesn’t work in Stadium.

I’d also like to see Lucio get currency generation from mitigation. Also, buff the amp sound barrier perk, 15% of the normal effect for such a short time does basically nothing. Right now weapon damage build feels bad, it’s boring and mediocre, the old boop build has been nerfed into oblivion, and the beat build may as well not exist.

I think Lucio is one they struggle to balance because he’s so dynamic. He has knockback, mobility, speed boost, healing, a decent weapon, a great ult, and a small hitbox. If he’s too good at one thing, he can be really oppressive. Even with the healing build on him being nerfed twice, I frequently see Lucio players outhealing the rest of the lobby.

Other supports can add utility to their abilities as well, so it might be fun to play with adding utility to his speed boost to vary his builds up like damage mitigation, or life steal, or even like wall riding also speed boosts allies within 20 meters or something. Lucio is one of the few supports I don’t really play so it’s hard for me to make suggestions about what could be good, but I can definitely see why they’re so reluctant to allow him to be strong the way he was.

AND YET EVERY REIN CHARGE MAGNETIZES ME FROM LIKE 5 METERS AWAY… I’m not bitter. I just swear there’s some weird interaction with Lucio’s hitbox and Rein charge hitbox. Some of the “pins” they’ve done on me are just flat out ridiculous. Like around corners, out of the sky, way off of his hitbox, etc. It’s nutty.

It’s been nerfed 3 times now. This last one was a sledgehammer nerf. They nerfed his boop damage power by a huge amount, nerfed his boop heal amount by another 50%, and reduced the amount of ability power he can get.

The problem is that Lucio runs on ability power. His weapon doesn’t do direct ally healing and the trait that gives him healing on damage is pretty much useless against a D.Va comp.

He needed nerfs, but all they did was destroy his only fun/viable build and replace it with… basically nothing. I really want the beat build to be usable in any way.

Mercy is exactly the same way cause her wings are part of her hitbox. Rein charges will literally pull you in from like 20 feet away if the Rein even glances at you. Rein’s charge hitbox has needed a pass for a really long time and it’s more apparent in Stadium where it can still one-shot you even if you’re building survivability.

And every Lucio I play with still runs it. It’s still good even if it’s been nerfed twice. Lowkey wish they would give Juno’s torpedo build the same treatment :unamused:

That’s pretty much how they did D.Va too and she’s still overwhelmingly the worst tank in Stadium right now. Choosing her is almost guaranteed to be a throw.

Because the other two builds aren’t viable.

I’ve been running into really oppressive D.Vas recently. Whenever Zarya isn’t played, she seems to do pretty well. She doesn’t really have any counters outside of Zarya in the mode, but Zarya makes D.Va a throw pick when she IS in the lobby.

I want to say I’m sure he’ll get some tweaks in the midseason if he falls off that hard, but he was still doing really well even after the first nerfs. We’ll have to wait and see.

For me, it’s the “every D.Va I play with is awful and every D.Va I play against is a God.” I can’t seem to get a good one on my teams for the life of me but every single one I go against is a GOAT so it’s hard for me to have a good opinion of her when she seems pretty feast or famine.

He was already one of the least picked heroes when he was overpowered. He’s going to drop off a lot now that he’s mediocre at best.

Right? I don’t get why I never get red team D.Va. I think there’s a bug. My D.Va is always blue and bad.

I said this in another thread but it’s a “Symmetra nerf,” where he’s doing really well at the top so he gets nerfed even if he’s non-existent below that.

I mean, I’m not super amazing at Lucio (I don’t think), but I did have one round on Redwood Dam where I had 6.7k dmg, 20k healing, and 7.8k mit. A single round!

He was definitely overtuned in the right hands, I just think they wildly over-corrected.

I think the aura-based healing will continue to be an issue as other supports with that sort of passive heal are added to Stadium (cough cough Brigitte).

I’m kind of hoping that they’ll massively shake up the powers next season based on what builds are the most popular this season so we’ll get some variety instead of just nerfing what’s popular and not buffing what doesn’t work well, like Moira’s power I mentioned up top.

Tokki slam for Dva is maybe the worst power in the whole game and just needs to do more

mcree’s crit kills rewards ammo is a joke, since it reset every rounds, and some rounds are extremely short. It should applied to all rounds, but have a maxium ammo cap of +4.
