I got it and now I can finally breathe…
Took 50 matches
Hardest for me was D.Va. The beam resist didn’t help much against Zarya and also most of the other tanks rolled me too, but luckily I got a match against Orisa.
The most fun I had was with a sleep dart Ana build. It’s so busted when you get everything for it. I had so many laughs
Now I’ll go for the skins… I don’t think 60 days is enough, but I’ll still try to get most of them.
What’s the hero you have been struggling with to get a win or had the most fun in general?
What I went with was heavy rockets + firing with DM active + longer DM range. Then I did the one with reduced spread and stacked everything else into weapon power and speed. I basically couldn’t die and I was one shotting people up close
You know, reading this inspired me to go for the title in earnest. As of last night, I’m 29 games in with 7 characters remaining.
Some surprising ones so far were:
Ashe. It was only like 3 games, but I probably changed the most on her vs anyone else. My flick aim in general is not very good, so this was a moment where I really learned to form a build around what my personal strengths are regardless of how I think the hero “should” be played normally. Dynamite was an early idea, but it was inconsistent. Things started clicking when I went into BOB Jr + Coach Gun, added a bit of tankiness, and played way closer as a magical bruiser with ADS harassment as a backup.
Genji. I don’t play him enough, but he wins a lot when I break him out in QP, so I felt confident. I REALLY want to make shuriken work, but the aim is still inconsistent to where I’m always lacking in money when I play it. I can see the vision though, and my win came from clutch early max range elims on supports and tanks. Needs more tuning, but I’m excited to figure it out.
Mercy. As a guy that put in time on TF2 and MNC as their respective supports, Overheal is cracked and should not be overlooked. Between that, the movement items, and all of the crazy multi-chaining and cool heal beam/gun investment, Stadium brought the fun back to a character that feels restricted by her normal “boost a broke DPS, res behind a wall, and hit 2 buttons over and over while the game happens around me” role she has in other modes. I’m about to get her mythic weapon due to this experience lol
They’re really onto something with this mode. I legit can’t stop thinking about it.
I’ve lost all my Ana and Juno games, with Lucio being the last character I have to play. I guess I’ll try sleep Ana because nade and sniper anas aren’t cutting it. Juno torpedoes are also not working lmao. Easily keep going 3 then swept to 4 L’s.
Edit: my terrible sleep dart build worked. Thank you for that. Very janky but i’m free from stadium. Also lucio is very fun.
Ashe took a bit of time, but coach gun + burning took me there. She felt kind of weak, at least with my aim lol.
With Mei it was surprisingly all the wall buffs! Double jump for pillari and getting blizzard around them. Worked great.
And like I already mentioned sleep dart build was the last thing I tried with Ana and it was so powerful. Never would have guessed.
If someone is having trouble with Reaper you should forget all the death blossom stuff. It might be strong on first round, but after that it just gets you killed. Just go for things that increase attack speed.
With Mercy I picked the 3 rez on cooldown… cheesy but enough to secure a win.
I suck at Genji but getting most deflect skills was the key. That sword slash after deflect ends is beautiful stuff.
