Stadium Is So Bad. Where Do I Even Begin

“We cant balance the game as is so lets add tons of new options that will make it a billion times harder to balance”.

“Lets put in all this work but not fix the main issue with the game that hasnt been fixed in years: Matchmaker”

“In an already snowbally game, lets add an economy that the winning team gets more of so when theyre already winning they can improve their heroes more than the losing team”.

At some point you have to realise that Blizz dobt actually understand a damn thing about this game.

Funny how all of you praise MR for not being balanced and just being wacky fun but at the same critique and ish on ow for not being balanced enough

You dont know what you want and regardless of what dev might do you wont be happy

I dont understand why tf they decided to give it a competitive focus when it was purposely designed to be an unbalanced gamemode?

Stadium has an inherently high potential for steamroll matches due to lack of familiarity for matches with newer players, no ability to swap, and everyone being broken as well as being incentivized to become more broken with payout for performance. There is some pity pay that’s awarded but I wouldn’t say it’s enough to always be viable.

The core intended audience for Stadium is really your typical Marvel Rivals player who wants to enjoy being able to “feel powerful” for existing with little attempt at balance. If everyone is broken then we’re all even! kind of mindset.

This just in: Different people have different opinions.

It’s always best to begin at the start.

Lets not play stupid now, theres a huge difference between Rivals balance vs OW2 5v5 balance, and whatever tf Stadium is with Soldier getting aimbot every 3 seconds

I played 3 matches of Stadium, here’s how it went:

First match, my team won by a landslide, enemy team were all like 0-6 or 1-5 every round.
Second match, we got absolutely steamrolled. Forced 50/50 at work even in this mode lol.
Third match, one enemy leaves at the first round. Then a few mins later another one, then they all leave. We did not get a win registered in the stats, no loss either, no draw. Like the match never happened because someone left. Shouldn’t we get a win if enemies leave?! Like what is the point if someone can just nullify the entire match by leaving?

The whole mode seemed incredibly unbalanced. I had no idea what I was gonna face, like all skill and gamesense had been removed. Like I was playing Dead by Daylight and didn’t know what perks the other side has.

I also noticed I couldn’t endorse anyone after any of the matches. Okay, why?

Then I noticed the comp progress bar didn’t go up from the matches, the one that says 0/30 or whatever. I did get 10 comp points from the win though.

I’ll never play Stadium ever again.

Stadium has been a blast and a breath of fresh air. It has a steep learning curve, and it is also a very unforgiving crucible – if your build or game play sucks, then you will get burned away like other impurities.

The better the player performs, the higher the match payouts and rewards. There is also no counter swapping, so if one is accustomed to picking easier match ups against specific characters, then that player will be sorely disappointed. Instead, players have to counter with build selections given the available budget.

Despite the higher learning curve and abusable purchased perks, Stadium is still a lot of fun. If ported to an arcade or QP format, the matches will need to be dropped to best of 3 or 5 to shorten game times.

???

How can you have “forced 50-50” versus literally the same exact players that just got rolled?

Second match, not second round. Meaning, a whole new queue.

I’ve lost 4+ matches in a row on more than one occasion on stadium. I can’t say i’ve been on a win streak to equal them yet.

Yeah i wouldn’t care normally but they added that weekly to play 10 stadium, it makes me mad that mode should be 100% optional, it’s just bad even 10 takes way too long

Literally why stadium is it’s own gane mode.

People that work on stadium don’t work on matchmaking.

Again different game mode.

I mean ok but you haven’t shown that in any of that here your argument is on the level of saying checker sucks because i don’t like chess and people shouldn’t work on 2 things at once 0/10 it would be difficult to make a more pointless argument.

Another thing I’ve noticed is that Stadium has a huge following of comp players already. Makes me wonder how regular comp is doing. I have no plans of returning to standard comp while hero bans are active, so might as well enjoy Stadium

Have some matches last night that were reverse sweeps
Stadium is amazing

OR maybe there arr different people with different opinions! :open_mouth:

Are u the brother of Kirikokisser?.

Stadium in it’s current state is a preference game mode.

Some people like it, others can’t stand it for various reasons.

I don’t like it, but I have other modes to play so not missing out on anything.

Just pick another mode. Or pick another game if Stadium was the only reason you came back to ow.

the only thing Stadium needs to do is enable better comeback mechanics. Heroes of the Storm is still my favorite MOBA because it has a decent comeback mechanic in that getting kills on higher level enemy teams awards much more xp than if you are both the same team.

Sure, snowballs still happen in HoTS but it’s way more enjoyable because there’s always actually a shot of making an epic comeback
