So far i’ve played 4 games of Stadium and all of them had leavers. I want to enjoy this mode but i just can’t this way. Please, give this mode harsher leave penalties.

I asked that question before this mode dropped. What will they do to address leavers. Guess what there is no answer for that. Team with a leaver might as well just stop trying as you will almost never win short handed.
Yeah everyone says they will get banned, WHO CARES GAME IS FREE TO PLAY. They ban 1 account they will make another.

It already has ranked leave-penalties.
Just wait a bit for all them to get banned.
The reason for this is simply because we are right now getting a lot of qp warrior players trying out the mode not even thinking about everyone else. I do kind of feel like if they were to give players who never play comp a way to play stadium in like arcade they wouldnt all shuffle into comp and ruin everyone elses matches. This will eventually fix itself tho we see this always happen around drive events too just give it a week and hopefully itll stabilize. I do think they should probably penalize harsher right now simply because they wont get an accurate data sampling with everyone leaving so itll be that much harder figuring out what to balance.

Haven’t had leavers in Stadium yet, but they were everywhere in competitive last season. Not sure what’s attracting the habitual leaver crowd to competitive modes as of late.

Yeah, unfortunately FTP is the only method for hero shooters (and shooters in general) to gain a playerbase large enough to survive. The days of paid shooters are rapidly disappearing. It’s probably why Marathon will crash and burn.
Hopefully Blizzard will introduce some obstacles to keep new accounts out of competitive play for at least a short while.

Doesn’t it boil down to a counter problem? Normally if you’re countered you switch to something else. In Stadium you have no option. Come out on DVa and they have Zarya? Spend 20 mins in that game or go do something else? Doesn’t Orisa counter Rein and some other tank counters in there?
Or the other team plays reaper+mei+ana+zen(is he in stadium?). What tank wants to play into that if they have a suboptimal team comp that can’t switch?
After watching some games with streamers last night to see what it’s like, I probably won’t even bother since Mei was in almost every single game I watched, harassing the tank with her ball form.
In reality they just leave after the timer and it cancels the game so you do not get your win or any related challenge progression.
I thought ranked players would be less likely to leave because they care about thier ranking. if they eat a ban that looks bad on them
My first game was with a group of three friends and one rando. Of course the rando left after we lost the first team fight, ha. It should have canceled the match at that point.
it should honestly. I dont mind fighting a lopsided match in quickplay…people can fill in
but in ranked people cant join you, so the match should be called
My first game went 7 rounds and 35 mins. Having played mostly QP with 5-10 min games, think stadium is too much of a time commitment.

It could be a day 1 stability issue. One of my games the other team had two people drop out at about the same time, but both rejoined before the next round started.
