If you stop to read each ability stadium will not be confusing. The key is: Read what each perk does.

The mode has problems for sure.
Something that helped me was going into the training mode (there’s a new one for Stadium), and just reading all and testing all the abilities for the heroes I’m interested in, without the time constraints.

is a fast paced shooter, why you have to stop and read? fundamental flaw of the core design of stadium

You can’t just say it’s unwinnable in a general sense. If you lost 5 games that means other people won against you 5 times.

It’s just decided at the beginning of the match like everything else in Overwatch.
They have Cass/Ashe and you have Mei/Genji? Hope you lose fast enough to get next game.
It’s actually the player’s fault. Stadium mode is like a MOBA. If you’ve never played a MOBA, you’ll know that you can’t just grab any item and rush in thinking you’ll win the match.
If you had at least:
- watched the stadium mode playtest streams
- read the posts they made on the blizzard blog about stadium mode
- watched ANY video from the creators who were on the test server
you’d have all the tips on all the perks and best combos and you’d know what each one does.
But apparently you just opened the game and thought it would magically be played.

who told those stupid devs we wanted a moba mode? we want pve story with 6vs6 and 2-2-2 and they do nothing of what we want. there is a reason why i dont play mobas, long matches, read crap to buy, they made an antiow mode
why i should do all of this to play a new mode with only 17 characters? watch streamers is stupid, all in game info should be in game

There’s basically no matchmaking right now, so winning is rolling the dice. It’ll get better over time.
There’s a Practice Range specifically for Stadium if you want to familiarize yourself with certain abilities and builds, I’d recommend trying that out to theory-craft some builds for characters you want to play.

ME BUTT HEAD WITH ENEMY DPS!!! YAHURRRR!!!
All I know is i tried my own build doing a Cassidy dodge roll build where I toss out flash bangs (esp when dodging), heal a lot, lower cds, have invincibility frames, and pew pew a lot.
