Random “cant connect to server” in chat popped up, wasnt just me. Got stuck in loading round screen for a round, game disconnected entirely, had to restart. Was stuck in main menu but still in game chat, loaded in 3 rounds later, everyone was saying their side was extremely laggy too, and we all got matchmaking suspension after.

Yeah, I’ve been noticing a lot of people disconnect from Stadium over the past few days. It hadn’t happened to me until just a few minutes ago.
The game before it happened to me, 2 people on my team DCed in between rounds, and said they weren’t able to rejoin even after trying to relaunch the game. They said they tried clicking the rejoin game button and nothing happened.
When it happened to me, I got stuck on the loading screen between stadium rounds and got a system message saying failed to connect to server. I tried relaunching the game, and I got stuck connecting on the launch screen and never even loaded into the OW main menu.

This also happened to me. I couldn’t rejoin until the round changed, but others kept disconnecting reconnecting. My other team mate couldn’t join back at all. It caused us to lose the game. It’s incredibly frustrating that a problem out of the players control caused it to do this.
I assume this is happening because there are alot of people playing the mode right now, which is good that alot are playing. It’s not good though that it’s causing this sort of problem.

I was having the same issue, was about to create my own forum for it, happened in two games back to back. I think it’s not fair to get a suspension over something that’s out of our control.
This JUST happened to me. We were on a come back and the game was going really great, I was popping off. Then I kept getting the loading error while at the loading screen for round 6. So I closed the game and it woudln’t let me rejoin the match. Eventually it gave me a 15 minute suspension (I assume after 1.5 minutes). lol I got reconnected to the chat server and I’m chatting with the players.
every time I leave the screen to the main menu and go back to stadium, it says “Game found” and reconnects me to the chat server. But I’m still suspended and cannot rejoin the game itself.

Just had the same thing happen to me as well, got a suspension and even had my endorsment rank lowered from 5 to 4. Was playing with friends to and now I cant for a while.
Edit: it broke and was constantly showing the next map for the round and only realized I was stuck when my friends started saying something about the game. Restarted my game and everything and it wouldn’t let me rejoin the match just saying “cannot connect to servers” but was still able to type with enemy team who said it happend to them today as well…

Edit: for me it seems to be when the match swaps to a new map. the last map where i couldn’t reconnect was that new coliseum map. I could reconnect after it swapped to a new map.
it just happened to me twice, after the update i tried queieng and the moment we got into the game for us to choose our power i get dc-ed and i can’t relaunch the game or rejoin. for no reason, i get banned from playing comp for an hour.
Pretty infuriating… I got failed to connect to server, had to restart game, came back and rejoined match, then i couldn’t make it back to push bot in time and got suspended for inactive… So dumb to be punished for something that is their fault. Literally in chat with group the whole time too
